I think that the Swiss man was arrested so that he will be encouraged to pay money to the Police to drop the charges. I expect the Police will want about 300,000 Baht. They won't ask for more than that because the man might tell the media that he is being extorted.

I didn't plan it, but I married a woman who is an orphan. Yes, she has 3 or 4 brothers and sisters scattered around the country, but they are all wonderful people. My daughter has had one dose of Pfizer and she got Covid ... for the second time. She got it in Thailand in December 2019 before people outside China knew much about Covid. One dose doesn't protect you fully, but if you get the virus, she said she had a bad headache + minor symptoms for the first 3 days, then 3 days of no smell or taste, but she felt 90% fine. She's nearly over it now. She's in Finland. She's protected from Covid for up to 6 months now, apparently, but she'll get her second dose in 2 months to be safe.
