Scottish man becomes latest victim of Thailand’s perilous roads
renaissanc replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
Not necessarily. I don't drive a car faster than 80 kph even on an empty road, but my wife says the same kind of thing regularly. It's a sign of care and concern. -

Srettha To Be Taken To Task Over Alleged Tax-Evading Real Estate
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think that every Senator and every PM candidate will have skeletons in their closet. If every candidate's past is examined, the 10 months will be up by the time they find a suitable candidate, if they ever do. -
Despite Being Blasted, Chuwit Insists Thaksin Not Returning On Aug. 10
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This announcement of "My Return!" is No. 20, I think. I wonder when Thaksin will make his 21st announcement of "I'm returning on (date). For sure this time. Really, really!" -

Thailand’s household-debt storm taking deadly toll on guarantors
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
We buy fish for our 20 cats from a couple. We lent them 10,000 Baht with the fish as the "guarantor". They could not pay back the loan so they are giving us 500 Baht of fish each week for free until the debt has been paid. 5,000 Baht is left. -
German expat in Thailand faces death penalty for premeditated murder
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
He'll end up being in jail for life (20 years). He'll certainly look slimmer when he gets out. He won't find any room on the floor for sleeping as he's so fat. I expect he'll be told to stand up at night. -
The murderers clearly don't watch Thai TV News programmes because if they did, they would know that there are CCTV cameras all over the place. They make it easy for the Police to find criminals. ... Just to think that they did this for money, which doesn't make you happy. Now they will spend 20 years in a Hell-hole Thai jail. When they are released they will be broke and unemployed, and maybe homeless and friendless too. With honesty they might have been able to earn the money they got within a few months or a year anyway.

I never look at the emojis. Perhaps you might like to do the same.

You might like to get a cat. Nothing can live around you when there's a cat.
-
We have 20 cats, most live outdoors during the day. 3 live indoors. Mice and centipedes have read the memo that coming here is bad for their health, so we rarely see them. When one does it doesn't last long. In contrast, the millipedes walk about all day, but they are accepted by all the cats and the two humans here. The house lizards don't seem to be able to read English though.

I think I’m having a nervous breakdown.
renaissanc replied to bob smith's topic in Health and Medicine
I just wanted to point out something in this person's advice, which you might have ignored. He mentions earthing / grounding yourself, such as on grass. This is a major piece of advice. There are documentaries on earthing and grounding on YouTube that will explain how it can help us. -
My marriage is heading south. Dont know what to do.
renaissanc replied to advancebooking's topic in Marriage and Divorce
I think that this is sensible advice. The marriage seems to be dead already. I'd just like to add: Have you asked the child how he feels about all the pressure? If he hates it, which I expect he does, then you must tell your wife together. If she won't stop, then tell her that this is the end of your marriage. She won't want to have to look for a (badly paid) job. -
Is it okay to lie to your partner of 5 years?
renaissanc replied to Isan Wanderer's topic in Marriage and Divorce
Here are my thoughts. You really must confront her today or follow her to the village. If a couple cannot trust each other, the relationship is already dead and you are just living together. She is clearly not suitable to be your wife if you can't trust her. If she has been lying to you, eg she has a boyfriend or she's been gambling, you should end the relationship on the spot because these behaviours won't change even after she says, "I'm sorry tee ruk. I'll never do it again, etc." I think that your relationship is already dead. Sorry to be so frank. -
