  1. Mission scrubbed for today:

    Quote

NASA postponed the first crewed mission by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, citing bad weather at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The launch window will move to May 30, the U.S. space agency said Wednesday. Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are set to ride SpaceX’s Dragon capsule to the International Space Station in the first launch of American astronauts from U.S. soil since 2011. NASA will try again this weekend on the final major test of SpaceX’s human flight system before it can be certified to fly working missions to and from the orbiting lab. If the launch attempt May 30 gets scrubbed, the next day will serve as a backup.

  2. If you are talking about the Pattaya Water office located in Naklua, no way to change from company name to private name, Thai or or foreigner makes no difference

My first experience with Thai obstinacy was when I went to change over from "construction" temporary water to permanent, with a meter (construction water is not metered) The lady not only would not put the water in a private name but also insisted that the company paperwork must be updated before the account would be opened and they would graciously charge me the commercial rate

Sorry,  but they feel that if you have a house in a company name then you are commercial and are going to pay the commercial rate, which of course is much higher.

Only way around it is to cut off the water, buy yourself a tank and then have water delivered for private use

  3. I don't understand some posters insistence that SCOTUS is going to side with the DOJ

Courts has historically taken the stand that the judge is the interpreter of law, and juries are interpreters of fact

It's his courtroom and appeal courts are very reluctant to do anything that threatens judicial independence

and that is what this whole brouhaha is all about, not Flynn's guilt

  4. One factor that should not weigh in here is the cost of filling in the pond later on if a prospective buyer does not want it.  A dump truck load of <deleted> Thai soil will fill it in, and some sod from a vendor on top and i'ts gone

Lot easier than building your own if you are a prospective purchaser

My opinion is that having a pond in a residential setting will not lower your property value, since property value here in Thailand is only based upon what someone else is willing to pay for it

    Here is mine:

  5. Let's not forget that even with these and other warnings on hydroxychlorlquine  President Trump's VA, has been doing live testing with our captive veteran population in VA Hospitals:

Or maybe this headline is more impressive, juxtaposed with the WHO announcement :

  6. I have seen this type of "waterfall" as a free standing unit, without a pool, as a decoration for a small patio, so this type of construction is fairly common in Thailand

I would follow the above suggestion and consulate with a pool builder for the correct epoxy or resin to use

  7. Atorvastatin is so cheap in the US, that my insurance company doesn't even charge the normal $10 co-pay for a 90 days worth supply

Cannot find any information on why since I do not have Part D (drug coverage) but someone must be providing some type of assistance for this particular drug since they certainly don't wave co-pay for any other drug

  8. 14 minutes ago, Tippaporn said:

Interesting to note, as well, that Sullivan made his decision directly after Obama's "leaked" remarks to supporters blasting the DOJ's decision to drop Flynn's case.  What was Obama's meaning regarding a "sense of urgency?"  I'll leave it up to readers to decide for themselves.

Give it a rest Obama left office:

It is 1216 days from the start date to the end date

Or 3 years, 4 months excluding the end date.

Or 40 months excluding the end date.
