I always go though My Place Bungalows, which is almost at the north tip of chaweng beach. But Ive been thorugh many 5* hotels over the years for beach access. If asked just say that you just say you are a resident, and act confident, and most security guards will shy away from you. The last thing they can be seen to be doing it abusing a guest - more than their job is worth.
But I can understand that it could be difficult right now, with many of them closed off.
Its such a shame that most beaches in Samui are this way. Its criminal that there are only a few places on the whole iseland where you can drive along the public sois and actually see the ocean - Nathon sea front, and a small section of Bangrak are the only ones I can think of.

Im with AIS and SCB. On the SCB app it has a section to pay all phone and internet bills etc. So in the AIS section I just snter my phone number and it then tells me if I have an outstanding balance, which I can then pay at the press of a button.
There must be something similar in your banking app? -
Is the department of land transport open for new/renew licences during all this chaos? I think I was told that they are only open for tax and registration.
Can anyone confirm?

Arrivals are now charging for motorbike parking. Not sure of rates though, sorry.

There is one in Lamai, on the right side, opposite the McDonalnds sign as you turn into the beach road.
There is also a new one opposite BKK Hospital in Chaweng, althought they are not quite open yet. They told me they are aopenign in february.

This steep road on the left, how far does that concrete road go up the hill before it turns into a dirt road again? I havent been up there for a few years, but it only used to go about 50-100m.
And how far up there is the buddha/temple? Ive only ever managed to find this temple from 1 entry point on a scooter, by going to the bottom of the hill at the Lamai end, then turning right, and soon righ again, and all the way back up.
Is this route easy to drive on a click/pcx?

Ive not had to ask for one for a qhile, but in Koh Samui the cost is 500 baht, and you are allowed to ask for 2 per time.

Just employ more staff, and make more money, surely?

Thanks but as I have just booked my ticket (christmas period) that isn,t an option,I know now that 30 mins before is my cut-off time..........thanks for the useful advice gents
If you go Raja and forfeit your Seatran booking, its only costs you the 30 baht booking fee, unless you have paid in advance.
-
15 minutes isnt enough. with a booking they normally ask for at least 30 minutes. but for an earlier ferry yes they do sometimes put you on if there is space, but its very unlikely. but if you do get there very early just drive up to the Raja and see if you can get on earlier there, which is a lot more likely in my experience.

I searched and never found one, and Lazada doesnt have much. I ended up getting a friend to bring one from Europe.

This thread does amuse me. Some of you must lead very sheltered lives, and be scared to just wake up in the mornings.

Green Mango is a dangerous place to be on your own, no matter what age you are.
This may be mitigated by being able to speak Thai or having people you know on the island.
Total nonsense. It absolutely is not.

Dont always think down of ex-rental cars. Often the ex-rental cars are the best maintained cars, and have always been well serviced. I rent motorbikes here on Samui, and I know my bikes are better cared for and serviced, than 99% of my friends bikes.
Good luck finding a nice car.

He used to be in Sound Club every night until it closed. Always up on stage at the far back left corner, always with the same moves. As much as some people laugh at him, you have to have respect for the guy, still having the energy and inclination at his age.
