  1. I have TOT 20mbps business package,1600 a month.(fibre)

Works fine all hours for streaming except epl football for some reason.

You sure it is business package?

Real business packages should be much more expensive on fiber.

Business package or not with tot it does not matter I have seen many downtown offices and buildings connected to tot fiber business plans with costs upwards of 20-50000 per month and yet there routing is exactly the same as my neighbor`s 690 baht tot ADSL. Looking at their internet maps and international bandwidth it seems they got decent infrastructure and the capacity but not the right network monitoring team and gateway management people who are only concerned with speeds in Thailand. So if they don't try to find the right people they will not be able to really optimize and utilize the international infrastructure they got.

  2. Do you think the PS4 will drop in price much within next few months here in BKK? Trying to see if worth holding out. Does BKK have Jan sales on stuff like this?

Looking at huge sales and success of ps4 I don't think so price is gonna drop anytime soon, however If you want one cheap now I suggest u ask any friend of yours who might be coming to bkk to hand carry it from either the states which costs there only approximately 12000 baht or hand carry it from hong Kong which costs there 13500 baht. Do note its going to be hard to find ps4 in the stock in US retailing for the official price due to overwhelming high demand in christmas .

1 usd is now 32.7X baht, not 30 baht anymore.

399.95 usd + 7-8% state tax in USA for PS4 should cost 14K baht. PS4 in HK should cost 14.4k baht.

New batch of PS4s will be sold for 18,200 baht in nadzproject and several other stores due to weak baht.

The point is since retail shops here are already importing from Singapore (16500 baht) which is already much more expensive than the equilavent in HK. If they would have imported from hk , the cost could have been 2-2.5 k lower. However, I believe in every sense it is better to buy the SG models and pay extra just to get the Sony regional warranty

  4. Looking forward to getting this then. Do you find a lot of lag in such large games of here in asia? Can't imagine there are lots of Thais on this game, so may be looking further afield for hosts? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

There is no hosts in bf4, it uses dedicated servers that are owned and managed by EA across the entire world. The Asian servers are hosted in Yokohama Japan with pings of 90-110.Ea will probably add more servers in Singapore or HK when the demand for them rises.

  5. How you finding BF4 on PS4? I am planning and getting console and game in about 11 days after my holiday.Don't suppose you get January sales over here in Thailand?

Really good . Big upgrade in visuals and the online has jumped to 64 players as to 32 on last gen .

    Last gen was 24.

  6. Why a mistake? Because you would need 3 accounts, one for each region to play the DLC? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

If thats require 3 psn plus memberships that would hurt.

Wrong, on ps4 if you get psn plus for one account all other accounts will be able to play online multiplaye
  7. Is there any difference between having the Singapore PS4 and say a EU one?

No difference except the warranty and the fact that some bluray or dvd movies would be region locked.
  8. Anybody found the Asian PS4 model in BKK yet?

I'm starting to buckle under this patience and feel I need one now (even though there are only a few games I want/have for it).

The Asian model stock have been delayed to 19 december instead of today because retailers at the last moment decided to order from Singapore because ordering From Singapore would enable the ps4 stock to qualify for south east Asian warranty which means one can officially qualify for official Sony Thai warranty and other south east asian countries, however the HK models would not qualify for south east Asian regional warranty even though HK model is much cheaper than Singaporean models.

  9. Just wait until HK Asian imports arrive here in mid December. Why pay 23-25k when you can get Hong Kong Asia model for 15-17k (17k for first batch, 15-15.5k for next batches)

Your wrong, why are you a fan boy of Asian models ? I know every little detail about this,

What's there to be fanboy about?

  10. I don't see any reason to not to wait cheaper HK Asia model and buy overpriced US/EU import for PS4.

For that kind of price, you can easily build a gaming computer and play games on real 1080p with higher settings than PS4.

15-16K baht is the right price, anything else is overkill.

Forget about that, the Asian model Xbox one has been delayed to November 2014 that means 1 year from now.

  11. Yes bought from them many times and always incurred taxes however if you contact theie staff using support on their website to mark your item as gift and lower the custom declaration value u won't incur any charges I do that now with them.

  12. 4 Players Gameshop in Bangkok (Central Pinklao) have the Asian consoles for pre-order for 16,000 THB. The release date is 20th December.

You can see the offers on their Facebook page, scroll down to the entries on the 20th November: http://www.facebook.com/4playersgameshop?fref=ts

There's another shop I know of in Central Ladprao offering pre-orders as well, no prices listed though, but they're likely to be similar to 4 Players: Nadz Project: http://www.nadzproject.com/product_1041417_en

Nadz confirmed with me that they will be selling the HK version of ps4 for 15000 baht that's 7-8 thousand baht cheaper than today's us version

  13. I guess this kind of serves as a reminder of the risks we take here in Thailand when we rely on anything provided by/through government agencies here.

Not that the private sector operators here are much better, but the government operated ones certainly seem more prone to monkey business when we get into these kinds of political scrapes.

CAT and TOT (and THAI and EGAT and others...) do poorly enough in normal times. But in these kinds of times, they seem to fare even worse.

The fate of true users would have been same if the protestors walked and cut true headquarters internet instead of true. How is cat performing worse than true? Does true have some alien technology that their infrastructure works even without electricity?

I think the point was pretty self-evident...

CAT and TOT are entities of the government. As such, they are potential play-things and/or targets of those agitating for or against the government, whether they be Red or Yellow or whatever color.

By comparison, True and DTAC aren't government entities, even though their corporate leaderships may have allegiances that lean one way or the other. Thus, they aren't as likely to be targets once things start to get out of hand.

CAT and TOT are also, I'd wager to say, more likely to be beholden to any government Internet censorship efforts that may arise compared to their private sector peers, which aren't quite as much lackeys to the various ministers of the day.

yes but you said cat and tot both perform poorly in normal times but living here in bkk since a long time cat is the only isp that promises me better than average international speed to both europe and US. so i am just saying you cant criticize a isp when you have never used or dealt with it.

I have both Cat and True line and the cat line blows away my true line when it comes to international bandwidth.

on testmy.net which i believe is reliable enough

on true line i average around 1-2 mb most of the time to San jose

but on cat its more like 10-20 mb single threaded to san jose.

here is a 25 mb test to san jose on my cat

so can you be more specific what do you mean by poor?
  14. Took the plunge yesterday - Bought a Playstation 4 for 23,000 baht from Game Mania in Panthip Plaza.

ingame Thailand in Ari said that they will have the Asia Playstation (imported from Hong Kong where it releases on December 17th I assume) on the 20th of December and selling it at 18,XXX baht, although I saw their jar of pre-order tickets, and there is a lot in there.

I also bought a 1TB hard drive from JIB Computers for 2,690 baht (make sure you get a 2.5 inch hard drive if you are thinking of upgrading from the 500GB one you get with the PS4).

I couldn't find any disc-based games at Panthip Plaza, Game Mania told me I could just download them, this is true, but after connecting to the UK PSN, I see that games are retailing for between £45-55 there. However, ingame Thailand in Ari has disc-based games for 1,990 baht each (around £39 at today's exchange rate).

So I bought Killzone, Knack, NBA2K14, Lego Marvel and a second controller at ingame - all for 1,990 baht each.

I also bought a 1 year subscription to PS Plus for £39.99.

    First impressions:

The PS4 is nice, quite heavy but looks great. Replacing the Hard Drive was really simple, it took no longer than 10 mins and all you need is a screwdriver and this video. The user interface is really easy to use. I did have problems with internet connection at first (True's fault not the PS4's), but it didn't stop me from playing games and after a couple of hours it was running at full speed, could even watch other people's broadcast streams at real-time.

Controller - Fits your hands well, the L2 and R2 triggers and analogue sticks are much better than the Dualshock 3. Only used the touchpad with Killzone, but it did everything it needed to. I like the fact that you can press the PS Button to go back to the user interface at any time, then return to a game by pressing it again.

Killzone - Very impressive visuals, there's a bit on the start where you're flying over a city and it is jaw dropping. Gameplay seems good, can see myself enjoying late nights with it.

Knack - It got bad reviews, but I've enjoyed the first couple of levels, very easy to pick up and straight forward in terms of what to do and where to go.

NBA2K14 - Never played a basketball game before, so a bit cautious, but I got into it as time went on. I can see it becoming quite addictive.

Lego Marvel is for my 9 year old son. We played co-op together and that was a lot of fun - he was telling to press this, press that.

Resogun - A free download when I subscribed to PS Plus - really simple gameplay with simple controls, but it definitely has the addictive factor.

Contrast - Another free download. Again simple gameplay with simple controls, the shifting into your shadow is a nice idea, I think the mood and ambience makes it more of a 'late night' game.

PS Plus - Jury is still out on this one - will see how it goes.

Nadz project will be selling the Asian model on 16-17 December for 15000 baht

  15. Just saw the PS4 in Siam Paragon on 3rd floor. I wanted to know which region it was so I asked the cashier where it came from and he said China and showed me the "Made in China" label! I saw it had a www.us.playstation.com on it so I guess it is the US region but it had 500GB/Go on it like the EU models usually have.

Anyways it was 38,000 baht. 2.5 times what it costs in the UK right now!!

38,000 is way over priced! even as an import . You should be able to pick one up for about 26.000 .

The ps4 consoles are all region free so hold off till end of December when there released over here and pick one up for 17-18 k .

If you want to pick up a US version now try INGAMETHAILAND. There selling for 25/26k

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

I want either a UK or Jap model so I'm happy to wait. If it had been a UK model for 20k I would've bought it though. However, as much as I really want to play Resogun there's nothing else out until Second Son that I'm really that interested in.

It has been officially confirmed by nadz project that they will sell ps4 hong Kong model on 16-17 December for only 15000 baht yes this is official price and won't be subjected to change. However if you want one you need to preorder now.

Do nadz project have a store on chiang mai or bkk ?

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

No but you can buy it online and they will ship it using ems to anywhere in Thailand but if you want to get your hands on the ps4 HK model for 15000 baht you need to place an preorder now or your chances are slim getting one on 16-17 December.
