Thousands who signed up for Thailand Pass receive scam email
dsj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That's not correct, as I got my Thailand Pass, and I haven't checked the status. I did receive the spam email, but it went into my junk folder. -
I did mine on Tuesday at 4.30pm and I got approval at 10.30pm the same day, so only 6 hours.

They made me sign mine.

Pink ID card Klong Toey district?
dsj replied to WorriedNoodle's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did mine about 1 year ago in Klong Toei, it was on Soi Thong lo just before the canal, all I had to show was my passport and Yellow Book and they did ask me for my fathers name and they will take the picture and takes about 15 minutes. I do believe you need a witness with you. It's best if you take someone that can speak Thai -
Official English documents from Amphur?
dsj replied to bbko's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Yes you are correct in that. My wife legally changed her first name at the Amphur, the one on Soi Thong Lo, and they did offer translation service, but she had to pay for the translation and to legalize, as if she went to a translation place. The Amphur used Saladeang Translation Office. -

What about filling the one Health Pass does that still need to be done?. Also you might still have to fill out the S-paSS if you are traveling to or through a restricted area. As I am going from Makati to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, and some sites says that I need it. -

Changing an Extension of Stay
dsj replied to maxx58's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Also don't forget that with an retirement visa you need to keep a minimal balance of $400,000 Baht all the time and another 400,000 Baht for 2 months before and 3 months after, so you would have 800,000 Baht tied up for 8 months. An extension base on marriage, you only need to show 400,000 Baht, and only keep only keep it in your bank 2 months before renewal and 1 month after for under consideration. Then there's always the income method. -

G Hotel in Hua Hin is not a bad hotel, it's close to Market Village and Blu Port. The only thing that prevents me staying there again is that the mattresses are then concrete, but this was a very long ago.
