Cable Tv and internet provider in condo building... getting confused
dsj replied to Omega7's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am
Best thing to do is to call True, AIS or try checking it online, and ask them what is available in your Condo, sometimes Management just want you to use there service. -
I would go thru the 1 year marriage extension instead of retirement, that way you don't have tie up your money in the bank. Unless your country's embassy still issues income verification letter.

I noticed that it doesn't like using domain email addresses, mine ends @dsjholdings.ca and I was successfully able to sign up 2 days ago. but I still haven't received my password, so I requested a new password, as still haven't received anything. Meanwhile I created an account with my gmail account and got my password right away in my inbox, not spam.

I can view my Vaccine certificate on the app, and all the information on it is correct except for nationality, it has Thai written, but I am Canadian, I emailed them about, I sent them an email to change, and they read it, but they haven't made the change. Does anyone know who I can contact to change the nationality?

Do I need an attorney? Condo purchase
dsj replied to dia1's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
I remember when I bought a condo in 2010, brand new, I had a lawyer look over the sales contract, and he did find allot of misinterpretation mistakes when they translated it into English, I believe he only charged me 20,000 Baht, and I felt it was worth it. -
Using UK debit card in Thailand...
dsj replied to RickG16's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
If using a international CC and they give you the option to pay in Baht or your currency always chose Baht, as you get much better conversion rate as Visa and MasterCard only charges 2.5% conversion fee (Bank Fee). https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html?amount=1000&fee=2.5&exchangedate=01%2F15%2F2020&fromCurr=CAD&toCurr=THB&submitButton=Calculate+exchange+rate https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/personal/get-support/convert-currency.html I agree with you that online shops won't accept foreign cards, like AIS, Tops, Central, but they do accept them in the stores, as that is what I do. Also if you are ordering online from Tops and you get to the payment page option, just chose pay on delivery with credit card, as they bring a machine with them and works all the time. -
I found this on a Canadian News website. https://globalnews.ca/news/8407763/covid-19-omicron-name-greek-alphabet-explainer/ Many people had expected the agency to label the latest variant nu, which comes after mu, a variant designated on Aug. 30. Instead, the WHO skipped over nu as well as xi, the next Greek letter in line — a move that many users on social media pointed out, while some questioned whether it was to avoid offending Chinese leader Xi Jinping. In a statement provided to the AP, the WHO said it skipped nu for clarity and xi to avoid causing offense generally. “`Nu’ is too easily confounded with `new,’ and `Xi’ was not used because it is a common last name,” the WHO said, adding that the agency’s “best practices for naming disease suggest avoiding `causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups.”’ Those best practices were outlined in a May 2015 document issued by the agency. The organization said at the time that it wanted to “minimize unnecessary negative effects on nations, economies and people” when naming infectious diseases. This is the first time the organization has skipped letters since it began using the Greek alphabet for coronavirus variants; it has previously used the alphabet to label 12 others. Alpha, beta, gamma and delta are all currently “variants of concern” like omicron. Lambda and mu are given the less serious “variant of interest” designation. Six other letters were assigned to former variants of interest.

You can also use the spit ATK tests. That's where you spit into a plastic bowl and then put it in the test strip, my daughter uses that one as she has to do test twice a week for her school.

On the Thailand Digital Health Pass, when you scan the bar code everything pops out and is correct, Id # and Passport # except for my Nationality as it show Thai and I am Canada. How do I get it change, or should I bother, I also got the yellow Travel vaccination book and it shows me as Canadian, as Canada recognized my Thai Vaccination certificate and add me to their database, so according to Canada I have been fully vaccinated.

All they have to do is suspend or not renew his passport, then they will know exactly where he is when he tries to renew it. -
Condominium Regulations, Covid-19, and non-Thai tenants
dsj replied to Vaughan9's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I am Vice Chairman on our Condo committee, and unless the rules and requlations states that persons from Laos or a other countries can't rent rooms, then the committee has no authority to reject or accept renters. The only time the committee can refuse if they stay for less than 1 month, as that is against the Condo act. They only way to change rules and regulations is at a AGM. -
