  1. If it was not so serious it would be amusing to watch these countries implode. But it is serious. Deadly serious. What is wrong with them? None of the explanations for this suicidal lunacy seem to pass rational inspection. There is no such thing as a secular Muslim and if there was we would have seen useful input by now. I rest my case. What kind of a world/Europe do Mrs Merkel and her mates think they are leaving for their grand children?

    What is wrong with them?

Nothing. It is all part of the dilution plan.

Just so happens that Orban and a few others are beginning to see clearly and are starting to throw spanners into the works.

When Brexit happens, poor GB, where are the export markets? China? Africa? Thailand? Russia? And the fascist Orban should be quiet, he wants the money from the EU, but no obligations. The EU should candel all money to the Visegrad countries, if they not accept common solutions. Otherwise they can leave the EU and join the Russian common market. Good luck!

  2. Go to Nam Nao NP, a 120 km nordeast of Khon Kaen. Nam Nao means cold water. There are several campsites there, and also guesthouses. You drive to Chum Phae, then further west, until comes to junction to Nam Nao, where you have to turn right. Beautiful view over a hilly landscape, specially good in winter time from Dec. to Feb. From Nam Nao you should continue to Bua Lang Pu, nice landscape with rolling hills and small mountains and other NP.

Khon Kaen itself has little to offer, except a stroll around the Bueng Khaen Nakorn, the like in the center, and the adjacent temple, which is well worth a visit.

  3. When it comes to road accidents and fatalities, Thailand is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. In earler days, I drove a lot in Thailand, today I prefer to take the bus or train (also not very safe) or to fly (also not very safe). About 71 people are killed EVERY DAY on Thai roads. In comparison: In Switzerland about 160 deaths PER YEAR. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/national/Road-death-toll-in-Thailand-among-highest-in-the-w-30202066.html

  4. Yes, you should have no problem. The visa is valid for 30 days (included entry and exit day) and you con leave by air or at any land border open to foreigners. I go every year to Laos since I do not need a visa up to 15 days. Then I go out and return again after a few days in Thailand. Visa on arrival fast and easy also at land borders open for foreigners, also when entering from Vietnam. On weekends or after ordinary office hours you have to pay an extra fee of 50 Thai baht. If this is your first trip to Laos: Don't miss Vang Vieng and the surroundings, very beautiful landscape, and the Bolaven pleateau, easily accessible from Pakse.
