Actually no problem. I entered Thailand on Nov. 30th 2014, I stayed exactly 30 days, then I left to Laos (visa-free entry for 15 days), went back to Thailand for exactly 15 days, left again to Laos (visa-free entry for 15 days), reentered Thailand and left the country by air after 10 days.

Several incidents with Nok Air in the last 12 months. May be it is better to avoid this airline in the future.

I really do not see any valuable reason for settling down in Thailand, despite the fact that my wife is Thai. Why should I live in a country that:

• is a military dictatorship
• has no press and media freedom
• has Internet censored
• has bad living quality, even in socalled tourist centres (Pattaya, Phuket etc.)
• does not have a good educational system
• has no conscience about environmental issues, garbage everywhere
• has one of the highet road mortality in the world
• threats foreigners mainly as a walking bank
• has no International cuisine, except in BKK and CNX
• is becoming more dangerous every year
• has very restrict immigration laws, every European country is better
• does not grant residency for husbands of Thai wife
• is racist in a large extent against all foreigners, regardless if from other Asian countries or from the West

I prefer to live in Europe, beautiful, nice, save, high living quality etc.

When I visit Thailand, I stay a few days then I move on to Laos, much nicer and friendlier.

Efforts are not enough, we want to see results.

This is more than ridiculous. I am Swiss and I carry always a Swiss army knife with me, also in Thailand. It is not a weapon, allowed in all of Europe and I think even in the USA. It is a useful instrument, not a weapon. Thai police would better look after corrupt crooks, drug dealers and drunk drivers instead molesting tourists. One more bad advertising for Thailand.

I boycott Thailand's "National Parks" (often not worth the name) already, soon I will boycott Thailand as a whole.

As a Swiss I do not need Forex trade. The Swiss Franc went up 20% against € and 15% against US$, now 1 € = 1 CHF, 2 weeks ago 1 € = 1.20 CHF. Now 1 CHF = 37 Baht, 2 weeks ago 1 CHF = 32.50 Baht.

You should have bought Swiss Francs. 1 CHF = 37 Baht.

Retirement in Thailand, no thanks. There are many much better places around the world (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Morocco) and specially in Europe: France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Hungary. All these places offer much more then Thailand can ever offer, from food to culture and entertainment. And easy to get resident permit too. The ranking of the magazine mentioned here is just absolute rubbish.

I flew many times to BKK on a visa-free entry. I never was asked about a return ticket, not from any airline, not from the immigration in BKK.

Pedestrians have not right at all on Thai roads, every road crossing is an adventure.
