Can anyone recommend a Thai language teacher for my 2 children?
They are fluent & have decent writing skills for a 6 & an 8 year old but we want some home teaching to bring them up as they don't get much at their international school.
We are in the Pratamnak area.

The Hops Brewhouse has been doing the same for 2 decades.
But one of the owners does kind of own the street

Put them outside with a 'for sale' sign & they will be gone within the hour

Threppesit Rd past the night market & just as you would turn into Tescos is a local shop that fixes most electrical items.
You'll see fans, fridges etc in various states of repairs around the front of it

They don't have many school buses as far as I can remember.
I took my child out of that school & would not recommend anyone to send theirs there.
Can't say much more due to defamation laws but said teacher would be up on charges in a different country

I had my one done in Pratumnak soi 6 last year.
The company are Bangkok based but they have a technician here that takes the swabs from you & the child.
You will need ID.
I'll dig out the info & post it

Ask at the pharmacy for xanax.
They most likely won;t stock but with have a Thai generic version of it.
Don't overuse though as that will just be another problem to overcome

This place is in Pratumnak.
It's not cheap but the cooking is outstanding.

The Glass House in Na Jomtien is very snazzy & a lot of the posh Thais go there.
They have a lot a tables right on the beach or indoors depending on your requirements

Airports are businesses.
Heathrow makes 50% of it's revenue through retail.
The airport charge the airlines for each person's security check & immigration, it's rolled into the cost of your flight ticket & charge more for fast track usage.
The same goes for lounge use, it's not free for those who are eligible.
Sometimes that 'free lunch' can be very expensive

I use the priority lane there about a dozen times a year & noticed how much busier they have become in 2019.
Both leaving & entering.

Hilton is very nice & has the best views in town if you get there in time for sunset

I got pulled over for not wearing seat belt at a road block in Udon but the copper couldn't speak English so asked my wife for her driving license & fined her instead, I was driving.

She who must be obeyed.
Brings the kids out for walks all the time & knows just about everything that happens around our manor.
Best coffee stand, best somtam stand etc etc
She told me not to argue with the local taxi guys if they try to rip me off just get the number on his back & she would have a word with the copper who runs that crew.
I wonder if there is a Thai version of The Sopranos ????

Each bike rank is 'owned' by a police officer & they each pay him in order to be allowed to work.
That officer will in turn kick up to his boss & so on.
That is the main reason that you rarely see a motobike taxi being pulled over.
The same happens with the street food sellers unless they have a private pitch.
