  1. If it is a fact then surely you must follow your own advice and back up your fact with a link?
  2. Interesting, do you know if they can be installed in areas with a roof covering already ?
  3. It was made clear to me by Bangkok Bank no insurance no loan, and it had to be their insurance. Mine is considerably less than yours but then so was the loan and as mentioned above age will be factored in also.
  4. Please feel free to post your demonstration using an unprotected supply
  5. Maybe i did not explain myself too well in the OP. They claim there could be up to 30% savings but have no empirical evidence. Their next step is to test the prototype in real situations which is what they are doing. I was happy to agree, it's obvious safety features are a bonus (despite some of the comments from so-called AN experts) and if it turns out the claims are not as expected what do i care ?
  6. We will see, however this is far from a simple plug in device and there have been no promises of anything.
  7. Sorry for being short. A good friend of mine is involved in the start up company being formed here and i went along to one of the presentations. I questioned the electricity saving claim and they asked if they could fit the prototype in my house so we can actually see how much, if any, savings are made.
  8. I have been reading your thread over time, however not in a position to go Solar yet.
  9. As i said they claim the energy savings, part of the reason for the installation is to see if those claims are true Will ask them to send me the presentation video.
  10. Have just had a prototype of this device fitted into my consumer unit. It was invented and designed in Korea and its main function is as the title suggests, my main reason for agreeing to the installation was safety. However they also claim there could be savings of up to 30% on your electric bills. Part of my agreement for the installation is monitoring of my electric usage via the MEA smart App. I am not an Electrician by trade (more Mechatronic) so don't fully understand how it works but they claim the electric savings are based on any Earth leakage going back into the system, savings obviously depend on how good your house wiring is. The safety aspect is self explanatory in the video attached, taken by me. Currently not available for domestic sale in Thailand until probably the end of this year, the device can be used in both single and 3 phase. If anyone wants more info and a better demonstration video let me know and i can pass it on. ECSPD Video.mp4
  11. Sauna Bar, Pratumnak Soi 6, nice place but pool may not be as big as you want.
  12. Have been booking apartments and villas for the past few years if we are in a group. Although i never book the large apartment complexes as these offer nothing extra as stated in the OP. I just prefer the extra room and versatility you get, plus there have been some great deals on private pool villas the last couple of years.
  13. Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but do you mean you got severance pay even though you retired ? Was this on top of any provident fund payment ?
  14. Maybe you can help the OP find a new water pump for 1200THB ?
  15. Comedy gold.... you post a topic trying to make fun of a fellow foreigner and end up getting called out yourself.
  16. I would wait at least 24 hours, it may look dry around the tile edges but underneath will certainly not be dry after 3 hours. He will probably tell you it's special Thai quick drying adhesive ????
  17. Yes but you would need to buy either 18 or 19, instead just buy an adjustable spanner, although not so good in confined spaces. My pipes are 19mm to answer your question. After reading Kawasaki's reply i went and checked the fittings in Bath and Kitchen at work (i know how sad) and they are a tight 23mm or comfortable 24mm Best get the adjustable spanner.
  18. Thana City has a few Moobaans, plus don't discount Kinkaew Rd which has direct access to Thana City also. Another point there are roadworks right now on many parts of Bangna Trad Rd so current travel times are distorted. Sinarkarin has its own problems with traffic, but should be ok if you live nearer Bangna end, however Skytrain construction is a way off completion, so you will have that to contend with. The area between Mega and Soi Nam Daeng also has loads of Moobaans but traffic could be a problem.
