No medical for extension last number of years. Last license 2016, no medical.
However I would expect a lot has changed 20/21. Be virus test next or vax cert.
Chinese up the backside type covid test!!

My last DL renewal was just after the 1st covid lockdown, so a few months ago and as the many previous occasions no medical cert needed, can't recall ever being asked, not even in the paper licence days.

Nothing really new and surprising here.
Medical certificate required for all extensions since a while.
Proof of residence has always been required.
And about the reduced services, maybe this helps to shed light on the matter?
I've never used a medical certificate for extensions

I do however have friends, both Thai and farang, living on Phuket, whom I would not wish to offend and who need my attention. Were it not for them, I would not go there. I would not recommend any of my foreign resident friends to go there.
So I will not be going to Phuket any time soon.
But what about your friends, both Thai and Farang no less, that live here and NEED your attention??...????????

Yes.
And i'm baffled at anyone who wants to visit an island where the taxi mafia rips you off or wants to harm you, the drinks are 4 x as expensive as the rest of the country and the locals hate you.
what is the point in going there.
Said the guy so full of local knowledge that's only ever sat on a barstool in Patong...

Unfortuately the bar closure did not help! But I found Rawai to have better food, better beach (Nai Harn) more choices, more people where as Kamala seemed quite dead apart from a couple of beach side restaurants. I could imagine Kamala being much better pre covid.
Thanks for the advice on both locations.
At least you had a good time and always nice to get an unbiased opinion....????

Knowing the source and their priority to report quicker than their rival at the expense of accuracy, my bet is that yearly extension renewals are still done in Rm 103.
Yeah still in 103, got a new retirement last week.

The prices at KFC in Jungceylon were consistently higher than those at the KFC at Tesco/Lotus at Samkong.
Correct, also the MK at JC was quite a bit more expensive than the others.

Top tips: Always pour some very old sump oil on the pile of grass before burning!

Thanks, I thought the rubbish guys wouldn't take it. I used to hide some green grass cuttings under normal kitchen waste in the large plastic bag in my bin! ????
And you're right, it is so brown and dead that I don't think it'll produce much smoke.
As long as it's cut down to a fit in the garbage bad type size they'll take just about any garden stuff.

Yes, had RLE on both eyes done by Dr Captain there about 1 and a half years ago, best money I've ever spent, absolutely brilliant and I know of 6 others that have had it done there and are all of the same opinion.
A course of eye drops I think it was for 3 or 4 days prior, had the left eye done 1st, went to the hospital about 2 hours before the procedure and had more drops administered to numb the eye etc, procedure took about 20 minutes, no pain what so ever, just look into the little lights and feel nothing.
All good so 2 days later had the other eye done, same as the 1st.
A course of eye drops for a while after.
Can see no problem straight after the procedure, but wore Sunny's as usual!
The only side affect (for me) is hallows around lights at night but now I don't really notice it at all.
