The brown icing on the caca cake was very careless pandemic protocol

My initial thoughts, being a caring soul [my previous wives might disagree with that] I am seriously concerned about your well-being. "Caca cake ... if it was a service I don't need" Considering the health implications, maybe a new therapist?

On topic: the 'education system' here produces those who don't ask questions, and they work for those who don't consider that they should ask questions. Mai pen rai. It will all be okay and very few will die as a consequence. Tomorrow doesn't exist --- until it does.

They even hate the native inhabitants of the British Isles, and are spending billions on putting illegals up in hotels and destroying our communities, culture and way of life.

Looking out for (majority white) expats is an anathema to the Impotent, self-loathing, Marxist commissars that now run the UK.

    Hello, a strongly-worded post.

For the benefit of the many on this forum who do not have the benefit of comprehending the 'shortened form' of English. Maybe a less vitriolic form would help to get your point across..

I am off, decided some time ago. It used to be lovely and quaint as well as nicely Wild West but as I am now older I just see it all has become a bit of a shhhiiittt hole. I would have gone sooner just trying to liquidate assets right now is not so easy. I will come back for 2/3 months a year over xmas but have decided being based elsewhere would be more interesting and suitable for my current wishes/needs from life.

The government does not bother me, they are all cccrrraaappp all over. Kids are grown and gone their own path, wife divorced me a long time ago, time for an adventure with my Zimmer frame.

Liquidating assets is one major reason why many hunker down, and hopefully ride out the storm. Wishing you good luck.,

Do you mean Big C extra? on the superhighway that Bangkok hospital is on?  I've never seen a Carrefour in CM

Yes. If traveling west [clockwise] on the superhighway, from the junction of the 118 {Doi Saket road] it's a few hundreds meters on your left --- it was CARREFOUR before and BIGC retained the internal layout [on the second floor] and the bakery. Being CARREFOUR previously is the reason why the bakery is good. If you reach the INDEX LIVING MALL you've gone to far, or if the Bangkok Hospital way too far LOL

  5. The most authentic French Stick I have found is at BIG C [crusty and good texture] the store on the superhighway that used to be Carrefour. Just west of the family court junction. That one has an excellent made-on-the-premises bakery shop.

Note: Like Makro, not all BIG C's are the same.

Yesterday traffic was very busy in Pattaya and Foodland at mid day was plugged.

    With the possibly/maybe/could be/likelihood of a complete lock-down that's no surprise.

Gradually those who should know better will realise that catching a tiger by its tail can have serious adverse consequences.

It's no surprise that those who can see it coming, and have the funds, are stocking up in readiness.

Sadly, there are so many who can't even get through the day.

About as much use as Decolgen, it will not keep you out of hospital if it hits you hard enough

Maybe not, but covid-19 does take a while to multiply when it first enters the body. Anything that might prohibit that process is worth a try isn't it? I used it to assist my Immunocompromised system whilst recovering from extensive cancer surgery. All I can say is that it's impossible to not be exposed to common colds and such, but I didn't succumb to any. Some possible minor side effects from long-term use but I suggest a sensible extra layer of protection whilst this pandemic is in full swing. As they say here "Up to you"

Dont the USA and other European countries have a huge surplus of vaccines.

If we forget the lunatics need for back handers and buying the Chinese gunk for a moment.

Isnt it possible otherwise to procure enough decent vaccines for 70 million within a month get them distributed around the country and job done........if it means saving lives and stopping the thousands waiting for hospital care from increasing.

May be real logistical reasons why this is not possible as in their simply arent 70 million vaccines available right now anywhere for immediate shipment.

Trouble is most of those 'spare' vaccines are probably the ones that need storing at minus polar bear temperature; and also could be fast approaching their 'expiry' date. By the time they get here and are processed through endless 'red tape' and the logistics set up to ship them around the country in a usable state they may well be fit only for the bin. Good excuse to distribute them around 'important people and their entourage' -- "we had no choice and didn't want to waste them"

However everyone's taste is different and I find I need to spend at least 469 baht a bottle at the moment for something I consider drinkable - without having consumed several beers first...........

"having consumed several beers first..........." go and stand in the corner and think seriously of what you are suggesting.

“The Wuhan lock down model”, gotta love the threat.
    Interesting tweet from Scott Adams:

How exactly do we know the Delta variant is a natural variation and not a new virus from a lab in China that once again, coincidentally, doesn't have any impact on China?

Is it because no American court found proof of widespread virus fraud?

As Delta Variant Spreads, China Lacks Data on Its Covid-19 Vaccines

The spread of the Delta variant is raising fresh concerns about the efficacy of Chinese vaccines, which have been central to inoculation efforts in the developing world, as recent data shows the protection provided by Western vaccines waning against the highly contagious variant.

Chinese officials have been analyzing data from an outbreak of the Delta variant in southern China last month, while Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotech Ltd., the country’s leading Covid-19 vaccine developers, have said they are studying Covid-19 variants, including via lab experiments. Both companies have suggested that a third booster shot may be needed to boost protection after their current two-dose regimens.

  11. Alanis Morissette would call this ironic [lol] but a coincidence that when I first came here in 1989 it was 40Baht/GBP and currently it's 40Baht/GBP. Mind you, when I moved here in 2007 it was nearly 70Baht/GDP.

However, the move was based on my previous experience. What goes around comes around.

I do recall when I opened my first bank account with SCB they were reluctant to open it, and even then I had to persuade them to accept any significant GBP transfers. As were Bangkok Bank when I set up an account with them. Foreign currency transfers were limited to 5000GBP.

  12. It was reported that China had 11 covid-19 vaccines under development in 2020. The first to be given emergency approval was CanSino but only for domestic use. Could this be why China, in addition to stringent measures, were able to contain infections? It has only recently been offered outside China. https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/argentina-issues-emergency-approval-chinas-single-dose-cansino-covid-19-vaccine-2021-06-11/

They has also recently developed an inhaled version https://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/news/cansino-trials-inhaled-vaccine/

"While the world was still figuring out the coronavirus, China led an ambitious scientific project by having the most vaccines under development (11 out of 42 vaccines in September 2020). It was among the first few countries which came up with a vaccine the fastest. Its immunisation initiative started as early as 25 June 2020, with CanSino’s single-dose vaccine’s emergency approval. By July 2020, the country already had two vaccines approved for emergency usage. Whilst researchers warned against using a vaccine without a large-scale randomised placebo-controlled trial, China had already begun vaccinating soldiers, government employees, aviation staff, and healthcare workers at home."
