    Indeed, there's no way they can keep track of foreign income coming in here. Also, we can gift 20 million baht a year to wife, kids etc. This tax change is targeting very very wealthy Thais.

    Being a resident does get me cheaper golf in some Hua Hin courses. However, not as much as showing my Thai ID, where I get more discount for being Thai. Paying tax alone has no impact.

    More likely they are wanting business from Expats who don't understand that the new tax rules is targeting Thais.

    I wouldn't invest in the S&P now because market movements are influenced by a complex interplay of factors, and predicting the exact direction of the market is challenging. Diversification and a long-term investment strategy are what I would do. Economic downturn due to war, rising interest rate, war, inflation, no thanks.

    Indeed, can't call it a war when only one side is dying. Yes, there are one or two Israelis dying weekly but how many Israeli kids were killed since Oct 7?

    Are you seriously saying that 8,000 child deaths are due to Hamas? Do you have any children? I really can't understand anyone with children being so uncompassionate. As I was listening to fireworks this morning, I was worrying about my kids and where they were and what they were doing. I can't begin to imagine what it is like for a father in Gaza not knowing if his kids are going to get blown up by Israeli missile at any moment.

    Hamas are evil, I get that but using a human shield would stop anyone with any morals from blowing them up along with thousands of children, I'm surprised you can't see that. So many are being killed that is is becoming clear that Israel don't care,or worse.
