-
I thought it was a close election. Words tell a lot!

I agree fox news is the least corrupted station in the US.
-
I don't watch much TV and get my news from things like Twitter -
-
? I guess you belive the nonsense you hear on CNN.

President Trump, no EX, would have got more than the 70 million votes if it had been fair. Sam Bankan fried game Biden 10 million! This is just coming out, US give Ukraine money, Ukraine give FTX, SBF gives Democrats, disgraceful (allegedly.)
-
Not just great news for the US but for the whole world. Great speech for a truly selfless leader who care for world peace. No idea how Biden got in but even his diehard fans are accepting he is a failure.

They are wrong, anyway immigration have nothing to do with these cards. As said above, the cards are meant for labourers and when farang started wanting them, they couldn't be bothered to make different ones. Immigation don't even recognize the yellow book and are really not interested in that or the pink card. Another thing, the migrant workers can use these cards as they get health insurance, whereas Westerners can't.
-
Not sure what you mean here. If you have a pink card, you need to take your passport. If not, you don't need to take your passport outside the province, a Driver's license is enough. You are the king of the 'I've got a great pink non-Thai ID card that puts on the same level as a Burmese labourer or Cambodian cleaner brigade". You can fool some into thinking it is worth getting but certainly not me. Fellow Thais laugh at farang showing off this card, thinking they have somehow penetrated into Thai society ???? . This card was designed to keep track of Migrant workers and stateless persons, more like a gold star than anything beneficial.

I have no negative bias, I see it as it is. Who told you an alien ID cert. is the same as a passport? Google translate lol. Are you saying that foreigners leaving their home province need to take their passport to avoid breaking the law, despite having a so called "Thai ID" ? Kinda defeats the purpose of the card, which is not to need to carry passport! Yes, if you had a pink card during covid, you could have been vaccinated a couple of weeks before others. There really is no other use for this card. Some say you don't need to get a resident cert. every 5 years to renew DL. I couldn't use it for that in Khon Kaen 2 years ago. 2 banks wouldn't accept it and made me show my passport. If its a hassle to get the yellow book, forget it and use your passport. Taking it out the safe every 5 years is no big deal.

I just bought $200,000 of Bitcoin

Cross border payments use a great technology, developed in the 1970s, called Swift. If I make a transaction to my family in Scotland, it takes 10 days to arrive and costs only $20. Nowadays, I send BTC to my mother, it arrives around 20 minutes after I send it and costs $2. SCB, the largest in Thailand used XRP in a corridor to Japan, where Thais working in Japan could transfer money using the blockchain in 2 seconds for maybe 5 baht. Mexico also uses XRP in a corridor with the USA. The banks obviously don't likethis and are fighting for their lives to create FUD regarding cross border payments using crypto, and moreso about DeFi. Blockchain is the future and those predictable haters saying that crypto has no utility are tiresome. I've seen it twice before with BTC; those haters who missed out try to justify their not buying it cheap by waiting until the end of the bull run and subsequent bear market to come and spread FUD, cherry picking numbers from 1 year ago. EXACTLY the same criticisms as when BTC went to $200 in Jan 2015, $3,500 in Jan 2019, or $3,500 in March 2020. The same haters will be here, mark my words, in 2026 when BTC has crashed to $50,000. I have no idea why they can't learn from their error of not buying BTC, and actually buy now, or at least DCA in at $17k. -

Only the ignorant. -
Worst I saw was in soi Cowboy. A drunk guy was kicked along the street by 2/3 guys. He was drunk/high and jumped on the go-go stage. When the bouncer tried to pull him off, he tapped his head with his foot! Khao San Road Thais hate farang and I've seen some uncalled for violence there. I got my nose broken and also been attacked by a ataxi driver with a tyre lever, but defended myself on that occassion.

One poster mentioned an archaic law that actually doesn't hold in reality. Guys that freak about about this are usually Colonial types that think they are superior to the local Siamese. Immigration is easy, usually retirees making a fuss, when they have all the time in the world to spend 1 hour a year getting a visa which is cheap and easy to get compared with other countries. As a Thai, I would need to INVEST 17 million baht to get a retirement visa in the USA. Being white in Thailand is a blessing rather than a curse.

In the 60s, some US states didn't allow black citizens to vote. Guy calls Thailand racist as white Thais can't become officers in the army. Putting things into perspective, Thailand is developing, laws are changing. Many laws that many think are racist are there for good reasons, i.e not allowing married foreigners to own land, giving local people discount to parks etc. I don't think users ban putting things in perspective.
-
You really do think too much. American comes here and shouts racism, I think it is hypocrisy.
-
I wasn't asking you. Seems you have a chip on your shoulder about something.

How utterly hypocritical. Get Trump back in and have world peace and US great again. -

I no longer have any funds on that exchange. However, I will keep using my card every now and then. Actually, they were never an exchange I used to trade or stake, I only like them for the card. -
Thailand is a few decade behind the west in many areas. You will remember in the UK, bars were closed on Sundays, this is as an absurd law as closing from 2-5pm. Thailand's drinking laws are better for an alcoholic that the UK was for me. Sunday are a distant memory but still haunting, and this was in the 1980s.
