  1. Lol never thought of see the day when AN moderators would write about being stoned.
  2. Bring back the sad emoticon. Easier than to reply to insensitive, ignorant bashes.
  3. Anutin had done well, its only some expat who dislike him due to a mistranslation in the English gutter press about hygiene ????
  4. Spot on. Bashing Pratud and Anutin is getting boring, and this is not the time to do it.
  5. What are you talking about? Pretty obvious you don't know what Thainess is. Thainess is taught at schools. Bashers abound
  6. I cannot see the relation at all.
  7. Being fired and prosecuted are not consequences?
  8. I don't think there is negligence by the RTP, do you?
  9. What has Koh Tao got to do with anything?
  10. I hope you are not saying you agree with the deleted post?
  11. They are interwoven, like the 5 families in NY. I think many non Americans don't understand that to do business in NY, especially in construction, you need to deal with the mob.
  12. Did you see the first post on this thread before it was removed? Saying this killer was a normal Thai man, disgraceful.
  13. Are you talking about the mob or RTP in the second paragraph? There are many similarities to the two. You'll find that not many are happy with the police but many westerners like the mob, or feel safe, especially with the likes of the Kray twins in East London.
  14. Yes, this is true. The director at the largest school in Khon Kaen was recently in court, accused of paying 50 million to secure his job. He was acquitted but 10 people in the Moe were jailed for receiving???? Immigration officers have the hardest time securing their positions in towns with lots of foreigners. I know one who paid 5 million and she is junior.
  15. To be fair, they did try to get him into rehab, and then fired him. If he had worked as a postman, would you hold the Post Office responsible ?
  16. I used to work in a treatment centre, so knew of many occupations. I have worked for the police. I am not agitated at all, strange thing to say. Rather childish, when called out to stop talking!
  17. I have no idea what you are on(about).
  18. Are you surprised that some police officers use drugs and alcohol? As for the timeline, it's quite normal in ANY country to take a couple of years to get through the courts. Take a look at this case in the US, where 4 officers were charged, not for drug use, but for KILLING a civilian. They were allowed to keep working for over 2 years. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-62427546
  19. There are many here who obsessively bash Thailand as they are not happy here, due to lack of integration, not speaking the language etc. Rather than do that, they prefer to try to belittle Thai culture, religion, the police, the PM etc to feel superior in themselves. It's rather sad as they have led to many decent posters leaving this forum; it's a shadow of what it was 10/15 years ago.
  20. And how do you know he never had any help to try to cure his addiction? I know of a few policemen who have been through recovery treatment.
  21. What are you talking about? This is equivalent to about 1 years salary for most people in that area, and will allow them to have a respectful funeral for their loved ones. How dare you criticise the government helping the familes!
