I see people walking on quiet beaches still wearing masks and single drivers in cars. Thai people are shy, masks help them deal with their shyness. I see farang not wearing masks in Market Village Hua Hin, rather complacently/rudely/ignorantly, IMHO. They don't understand Thai culture and values. We are not the USA, where they have different Values, like 'freedom'. In Thailand, there is the 'Value of community', and of course 'greng Jai' which has no real translation. Many farang have no cultural awareness at all! I urge you to understand Thai culture and forget your cultural assimilation.
