  1. I love the Beach Boys, as I grew up with them. But this just doesn't cut it...
  2. What are you talking about...?! Guys like this run this country. You must be a tourist. Your 90 days are up.
  3. You can buy a very nice roomy Condo, 100% in your name. If you buy a house, you will never own it. Money down the drain. But if that's okay with you, maybe we should meet up, as I've got the Golden Gate Bridge for sale at a remarkable price. Clear title and everything...!
  4. Many doctors and patients say that Dr. Dean Ornish out of San Francisco is the 'go-to' guy for prostate cancer reversal in the USA.
  5. Unfortunately...people always get the government they deserve...
  6. Sorry to hear that your brothers, your sisters, and children and grandchildren are all dead...
  7. You don't get it...you can't educate a water buffalo... The biggest problems with Westerners, is that they think everybody else in the world has a western mind. NO THEY DON"T... That has been the biggest problem with US foreign policy problem solving. A bunch of guys from Iowa, Nevada, Alabama, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or Illionois, California, etc... dictating foreign policy to Afghanistan or the DRC.
  8. It is beyond discipline. As somebody said on this forum..."there is no fixing stupid". They call Thailand a 'deveolpng country'. Well Siam is much older than Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore, and on par in existence with most country's in Europe. Unfortunately, at this point in time for Thailand...you are either a 'developed country, or an un-developed country'. Thailand is an un-developed country. Developing implies that you are going someplace...that you are moving forward. At best, Thailand is an in-grown hair. It is so backwards that not only will it never be able to contribute anything of value to the world, so, at best all it has to do is 'copy' other systems developed by more advanced cultures. But unfortunately, it can't even do that with any degree of proficiency. You either accept it...or leave.
  9. Bottom line is...if you weren't having successful female relationships in your home country... you won't be having them here. You're still a loser. Back home in Nebraska or Manchester, would you be bringing home a 23 year-old hooker to meet your family...? Who professionally screwed at least one guy a day...30 guys a month...360 guys a year, and say..."Mom and Dad, this is my new girlfriend...???!!!"
  10. Same DNA...scrabbled eggs for brains... That's like saying...'he wasn't from Arizona...he was from New Mexico...
  11. The observance of the Thai mind has continually boggled my mind, with its reasoning, logic, and deduction. 'The things that Thais do'...should be the title of a new hit song.
  12. Beer is the highest in Uric Acid content of all the alcohols (although they are all very high). It's simple science...simple math. Don't consume 'high-acid' foods and beverages. Problem solved. Or go on a public forum and cry...whei,whei, whei... "I poison myself everyday and feel like <deleted>...what should I do...?" You create the problem...you create the solution. Quit asking 'bozos' for advice.
  13. When I arrived here in 1994, I wanted a Thai girlfriend with a university education, has a promising career, (preferably owns) or at least rents a nice condo, owns her own car, has been abroad (the West) more than once, speaks, reads and writes very good English, goes to the gym regularly, and is willing to go 50/50 on all expenses. You find these girls working in the top office buildings in Bangkok...young to middle aged, sexy, good looking, dressed to the "9's"... and there are literally 1000's of them. And that's what I married, 29 years ago. What's that song...'Looking for love in all the wrong places'...
  14. These guys tend not to be the craftsmen your 'western mind' is hoping for.
  15. I've been living and gigging here since 1995, and I've even had on custom-made guitar built for me here. The locals tend to not get 'detail'. Things can come back half-assed and sloppy. Regarding 'refreting' your guitar, I had a bunch of guitars refretted as the price was so reasonable. And after a year or so of heavy playing I noticed that my frets were wearing pretty fast. When I finally asked my Luthier (Aleceia Guitar), he said that's because he uses a soft Korean fret-wire...because it is easier on his hands...WTF...!!! Said he won't use American fret-wire...'too stiff'. I had a 1985 Gibson Les Paul Custom re-fretted twice, second time there were grooves all over my ebony fretboard.

  17. “Technology should not be in the hands of those that did not invent it” Meaning that the highest level of transportation allowed would be a Buffalo and. Cart.
  18. Carry them in no problem. But don’t be sheepish about it. Act like you are the PM. Hope you don’t have plans of trying to sell them here. Most of the best musicians in town have no money.
  19. Thanks again ubonjoe...! I have copies somewhere, but if they are unsigned, there is no way I will get a new signature anytime soon. I can't be the first guy to have his adult daughter leave the nest. I just came back from my bank to have verified my monthly income for the past 12 months, and sometimes the backwards-ness of Thai culture can just really rub on you. They can take the simplest thing, and ' futz' it up. There's a new book out called 'Thai Logic', and you open it up to read...and it's empty...(just joking...555).
