  1. "It may be that Bangkok is different, though, than where I am." Jeez, I hope so. Sounds like a real PITA. God knows I've been through enough of those. Thought it was all behind me now.
  2. You are correct, it is my yearly extension of permission to stay. And thanks for confirming my search results that there has not been any recent requirement changes.
  3. I go for my visa renewal (based on marriage to a Thai), and just want to confirm that there are not any new requirements regarding my upcoming application. I have done a search and came up with nothing...but you never know... I will be going through Cheang Wattana office. Any comments welcome.
  4. Great hearing from guys with experience.
  5. Next month we will be driving from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. We will be spending 2-3 weeks in Chiang Mai, and then returning back to Bangkok. We drove it once before and it was a bit much. We are looking for a simple, clean, inexpensive accommodation/hotel/guest house, etc. to take an overnight break at, where our vehicle will be reasonably safe. Ideally a location at about 2/3rd's of the way up, to arrive safe and refreshed in Chiang Mai...and then a different location on the return trip about 2/3rd's the way back to Bangkok. I'm sure there are some that have blazed this trail before, and can offer some sound advice. I'm all ears. Much appreciated...
  6. And are you okay with losing just under 18% of your efficacy...?
  7. Well Khun Jeff, Interesting point, and therefore...trade-off. What to do? I was fully psychologically and physically prepared to wait the full 12 weeks, being very diligent in my self-protection efforts.
  8. I got the same notification. To quote The Lancet: "The study found that leaving less than 6 weeks between the initial shot and the booster gave a 55.1% efficacy. Leaving 6-8 weeks between shots increased efficacy to 59.9%, and waiting 9-11 weeks, efficacy was 63.7%. However, if the gap was 12 weeks or longer, efficacy jumped to 81.3%" What's going on here Thailand...why are you moving me from 81.3% efficacy to 63.7% efficacy...? I do not like this...!
  9. This is regarding my 'Non-B' visa and the renewal of an 'Extension of Stay' based on marriage...at Cheang Wattana, Bangkok. Last year at our annual immigration renewal, they handed back to us our TM.30 form as the Immigration officer said 'no need', telling us we were 'good to go', and ran off to lunch. We have owned our residence for many years, and the residence is registered and held in my wife's name. Will we need this the TM.30 form this year? Thanking you in advance.
