Why does anyone with common sense not understand that you need EXACT rules probably at least 30 days ahead of time to really book a trip/ visit etc. let's face it, Anyone who wants to really visit Thailand ( who is doubled vaxed) and wants to come for at least 60 to 90 days ( and spend $$$) needs NO or very short ( 7 days max) quarantine. No insurance BS ETC

I'd go the other way out of Siam to Rachatewi. Tons of housing options and I can walk to BTS in 4 minutes and airport train in 8 minutes. Walk to Paragon 12 minutes , Central World 15 min. Coffee shops all over and many , many restaurants 5-10 min walk and local area with much cheaper options West of station and tons of new ( and older ) buildings East. I find Phaya Thai BTS area to have less options of everything however compared to Rachatewi.

Then the other way is longer when you go back. Really not a big difference and Qatar is a good airline. It's always quicker to go "East" from Thailand to USA and then going west to get back to Thailand. Flying from NYC or Boston is almost exactly the same either way by many airlines too. JAL charges more usually. Business class on Qatar is awesome.
