Even in the states while working out did not spend 1000 baht a day on food and incidentals. Thats $900 a month. Whats all the money being spent on?
Booze, and what follows, I think

Thanks for your replies. I see the average is around 800 to 1000 a day for 1 person.
I'm doubtful about those who stated a number below 300 though.

This is what happens at political meetings when the cameras are turned off:

Nice, but mental health is still not officially recognized as an illness in Thailand and is therefore not covered by insurance companies. Feels good to have foreign health insurance doesn't it ?

Are you bored or something or did you just want to test how much we remember from physics at school?

On average, how much money do you spend per day for the bare necessities? (Not counting rent or shopping etc.). I mean Food, Traveling from A to B, Drinks (if you're a drinker), Smokes (if you're a smoker), misc. (must be daily)
I've calculated 352 thb per day.
Anything beyond 600 thb I consider to have had a treat.

House by the Pond serviced apartments on Sai Nam Thip 2, Sukhumvit 22, it has short and long contracts. Was 18k amonth plus water, coacroaches and electricity. I lived in 101 serviced apartments on Sai Nam Thip 3, Sukhumvit 22 for 22k baht before electricity and water. Now I live in a overpriced but high quality serviced apartment in the same area. You cant a condo for much less in lower Sukhumvit. I spent a half year of hell in a ultramodern skyscraper in Wongwien Yai called The Hive for 15000 baht amount and no overpricing on the electricity units. It was because my girlfriend worked outside the metropolis in the direction of Bang Wa.
Good luck
I've seen the rooms at House by the Pond. It's like the place was specifically designed for people who want to live in a haunted house. There's dust, cobwebs, dimly lit corridors, spooky antique furniture, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and bee hives. I'm surprised the place hasn't been turned into a public museum.

The biggest store I know of is at Zeer where they have 14 stores total, but there are J.I.B. shops all over Thailand that usually have a good range of hardware at reasonable prices, not as upmarket as the high-end stores though. If you ever need to go out to Don Mueang then Zeer is between the airport and Future Park. Worth a look and bigger than Pantip. They're building a new section which should be open soon if it hasn't already.
thanks

HEY MODS! Here's a fun idea: Let's move this thread to the ladies section and see what happens.
Why? Us ladies are quite capable of answering here too. And, to be honest it is a silly poll.
I am not going to answer - because, I know the answer is over ten. But i am not going to say between 10 and 50 because i also know it is less than 50.
Costas - you are starting to sound a bit stale.
Costas - Master of silly polls
And we all fell for it.
I think it's time to call the curtain.

A lot of renovations going on out the front, and so many empty shops like never before when I was there last month.
J.I.B. have stores all over Thailand so if shops are relocated J.I.B. will find their way there for sure.
Can you tell me where I can find large J.I.B. stores? MBK has none, the only ones I know of are in Pantip.

A Mod removes my harmless youtube clip in a thread about white guys bragging about how much sex and orgies they have with as many Thai women as they can? Now I've seen everything.
Can you re-post it or PM it to me?
Somebody made a post about ear sex. So I posted a clip of a guy receiving ear sex. It's a scene from Scary Movie. Type in "scary movie ear violation" click on 1st clip.

Best I could find.

Where did you get it in the first place? What does the Thai printing say?
-
I only went briefly through all the posts, but where will J.I.B. be after the changes?

If you wanted to calculate the area of a 3 dimensional pizza, with "z" representing the radius and "a" representing the height, then the volume of the pizza would be represented by the equation pizza. Because the formula for calculating the volume of a cylinder is pi*r^2*h.
Sorry. I saw Pizza and started drooling on the keyboard..what was the question?. Pie??. Done it again..Do you have any physics questions that dosen't mention food.
Sorry I don't, but I have this:
Note the sound cues that prompt people to laugh:
-
For me, in random order:
-Better weather
-Lower cost of living
-My friends and family live here
-I speak the language and know the culture
-I am treated with respect
-The BIB don't bully me
-There's an enormous choice of international cuisine
-Exotic, paradise getaways are below 2 hours of flight away
-Younger population
-People are less grumpy
-Better health care (I have a chronic medical condition)
-Getting away from a heart that was broken a long, long time ago in a place far, far, away.
Also,but not affecting me:
-Sex and sexual freedom. Straight, Bi, Gay, trans, or whatever you fancy
-Illegal activities that are tolerated, such as money laundering
-Settling down with Thai wives/husbands
I could go on and on if I had the time. But it essentially boils down to the fact that here the general attitude is
"Jai Yen, Yen." "Tam jai sabai sabai".
And therefore my friends, my tombstone shall read "Keine Zehn Pferde".
