  1. I was born.

That's it OP. That's all the effort I put in. I'm not a teacher and not retired but still enjoy a carefree life in Bangkok. I have full dual citizenship with all the rights that they bring. I support myself through:

    1. The greatest welfare state: Germany (heck we invented the welfare system in the late 19th century)

    2. Online work from home mostly for US customers.

    3. Some real estate I own in Lop Buri which I rent out.

Put all 3 together and I have a decent income that allows me to take 4 days a week off while living under expat standards in downtown Suk.

    What kind of online work?

I draw Hentai on a commission basis.

Before you think I'm a pervert, I should tell you that you wouldn't believe how much money people are willing to spend on some personally tailored, sick stuff they can't get anywhere else. In my 10 years I have seen and drawn more fetishes and weird, twisted sexual fantasies than a Bangkok pimp. It's anonymous and I never ask any questions.

  2. Cheapest beer I can find:

    Cheers Red

    6%alc

    500ml

47thb at 7-11, 46thb at the gourmet market.

If anybody knows of any cheaper beer post it here.

Have you actually tried that stuff? The only thing, imo, it has in common with beer is that they are occasionally found in the same shop. tongue.png

I actually love the stuff. It has a strong, musky aftertaste, and I believe it's one of the few beers in the World that you can, if need be, drink at room temperature.

  3. Shops like this can be found in the vicinity of every major hospital.

E.g at Victory Monument opposite Rachavithi Hospital (i.e. across the street on the northern side of the hospital)

Seconded. There's a line of stores across from the Rachavithi hospital. I doubt there's anything medical you won't find in that 100m. stretch. And the prices are low - I know Thais who drive in from north of Bkk to get their supplies there.

Thirded. There's a 24hour store opposite the Samitivej hospital in Suk 49.

  5. I have been on several dates, a few via Thaifriendly, most through other means. So far I have met:

-An escort who got mad at me because I didn't want to sleep with her on the first date (She wasn't a looker anyway)

    -A heroin addict (No really)

-A supernatural fanatic who refused to see me again because our astrological signs don't match

-An honest but hardworking girl who worked 7 days a week and only had 3-4 hours of free time a week (That was depressing)

-A few young "English teachers" in their 20s who had enough energy to party all night long (Making me feel old for not being able to stay up past 2am)

-A ladyboy (you probably saw this one coming)

I guess love was just not meant for me.
