  1. Obviously very difficult to track down as it just blends into the background....
  2. Hydrogen cars ARE electric. The fuel cell is used to produce the electricity which drives the wheels, so its like driving around with a personal power station. But it needs thousands of filling stations which can cope with hydrogen storage and it needs a way to produce large amounts of hydrogen without using a vast amount of electricity to do so. To do that needs massive investment and the fossil fuel dinosaurs won't stump up the money as, with no viable alternative, they still think they rule the roost.
  3. Which seems to have become "Crazy to give vaccines to tourists" So, is the right direction to be crazy?
  4. Its because you can hear the sound of brown envelopes rustling
  5. Freedom of movement allowed UK citizens to travel to mainland Europe and, if they wanted to, get a job there and stay for as long as they liked. No visa required, no work permit required, stay as long as you liked. Freedom of movement has already ended.
  6. Nope. UK citizens can only stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days and then have to leave the Schengen area and not return for 3 months. It is one of the 'new found freedoms' apparently. Oh, and from November you'll need an ETIAS as well. https://www.gov.uk/visit-eu-switzerland-norway-iceland-liechtenstein/how-long-stay-without-visa
  7. It is if you happen to want to stay for more than 90 days, as many pensioners used to in winter. Max stay is now 90 days in 180 day period. And no working without a permit.... None of this applied before the suicide pact.
  8. I suppose next it'll be Gary Glitter expecting an arrest-free arrival when he next visits Cambodia.
  9. It was not partygate that brought down Johnson. It was the resignation of over 50 of his own ministers because of his protection of a sex pest (Chris Pincher) and the insistence that they should promote his lies, even when those lies had suddenly changed. And the leaders of the resignations were Sajid Javed (then Health Secretary) and Rishi Sunak (then Chancellor of the Exchequer). That led to the supremely wise neo-fascist tories then electing Liz Truss - the worst PM ever and who, with the help of an equally hopeless Chancellor, blew a £30bn hole in the economy which everyone is still paying for. In the case of Zahawi, he categorically stated that he was not under investigation when he was appointed Chancellor (by Johnson) and threatened to sue investigative reporters. That was, at the very least, a huge stretch of the imagination. His appointment seems to have been totally against the ministerial code and, as a result of that, his case has been referred to the (recently appointed) Ethics advisor by the PM.
  10. Very helpful for the government as the unhealthy die early and saves them paying out pensions. More money for them and their cronies. Nine Bob notes are straighter than HMG.
  11. An ideal opportunity to stay at home, tidy up all the old plastic and have a lovely big bonfire...
  12. Geographical would suggest the stadium has been built in the wrong place..... oops
  13. Once the suppliers have sucked out as much profit as possible, yes
  14. Don't see how converting to electric makes them safe, comfortable and with polite, well mannered drivers.. Is it very special electricity with magic powers?
  15. Don't forget the Donaldian bibble and its commandments... Thou must never lose Thou should sucker the dim Thou should always lie Thou should dodge thy taxes Thou should rob thy neighbours Thou should covet thy neighbours wife Thou should borrow from thy father & mother Thou must commit adultery Thou should only sell tacky images of ones self Thou should blame everyone else for thy faults Thou should have the manners of an alley cat etc etc
  16. Up to 1967, my Grandma's house had no electricity - lighting by gas, hot water provided by the 'copper', outside toilet at the bottom of the garden. And that was in London, less than 2 miles from the Houses of Parliament.
  17. Not so much of the 'were' please. Still available - even from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Victory-36-Traditional-Lozenge-Stick/dp/B0042L9ERI
  18. Gosh - down to a 'cold' 28c - quick! Break out the fur coats and thermal undies.....
  19. ..... and then you do the hokey-cokey and you turn around, that's what its all about.... hey!
  20. There's going to be one in August this year. On the 30th.
  21. Been great to see the Daily Fail, in full bigot mode, screaming from its headlines "Oh spare us" and moaning that no-one wants to hear about it and then covering the subject in microscopic detail over 17 full pages. To be expected after they got taken to the cleaners in the libel courts though.
  22. An odd decision as these figures are absolutely normal with the exception of deaths which is about two-thirds of normal. Better to do your riding around now and keep safe the rest of the year statistically if danger is your concern...
