  1. You mean incredibly stupid.
  2. Not before a trial and certainly not in thailand
  3. I recently returned from abroad and went to my own condo in pattaya and then immigration - they told me I don't need a TM30
  4. If this errant behaviour spreads there'll be no more farang husbands for the likes of her
  5. Can't be Thailand. Thailand is so safe.
  6. Lazada holds the payment for quite a long time before transferring it to the vendor so it's probably Lazada that's taking time to give you your refund.
  7. No doubt the result of a shoot to kill policy. A few bullets is much cheaper than a trial and imprisonment.
  8. Boll#cks
  9. Thanks. I know Hoo blues. A great band. The only risk is that good players don't necessarily make good teachers so I prefer a harp teacher if possible although I didn't specify that
  10. I'm a life-long blues addict and need lessons on how to play my blues harps that have been left unused for over 20 years. I can't learn from Youtube videos. Any blues harp players can give lessons in Bangkok?
  11. Then you should have thought it through better before u left blighty instead of being blasé about it
  12. Is that even possible? Could the govt hospital refuse him?
  13. By starting to have separate bank accounts for such assets.
  14. It seems the easiest and least complicated for the tax dept. The onus then rests on the banks to ask questions and the recipient to answer honestly, just as with any tax return, as to the origin of the expat transfers using a simple questionaire, along with visa status, home country etc. I was recently asked such questions for no apparent reason by my Thai bank. The answers to the questions can then be automatically sent to the tax dept.
  15. Hi, I've developed a craving for mince pies due to Xmas being near. Anybody know a pub in Bangkok which has/will have mince pies as a dessert? Thx in advance
  16. Not true. You only need to provide proof you are returning to become a resident.
  17. No way will he ever get put behind bars, at least beyond a nominal period of time.
  18. Welcomed then rejected. Same for some other Ukrainians in Europe too.
  19. The guy is retired so most if not all the other criteria dont apply do they?
  20. If u don't live in the UK for 180 days per year then you become a non resident, making claims of residential status illegal, irrespective of how you can spin it to appear otherwise. If you get your family involved in that illegality then they are also committing fraud on your behalf.
  21. If you are claiming to live in the UK with a UK bank and don't then it is fraud. Banks and other agencies have access to databases of all kinds to find if u are listed eg. electoral registers, censuses, etc etc. A simple search will tell them if u are missing from those by living abroad and they are legally bound to investigate if they suspect u are fraudulent due to money laundering laws.
  22. No way will the son of a famous and rich person, from wherever, be put to death in Thailand. It won't happen. The death penalty is designed and carried out on poor people. Those with no money and power.
  23. I've bought and sold several condos in Thailand and always had to bring in fresh funds from abroad to buy them. You could ask an estate agent but I am 99% sure you have to export the money then reimport it again. Always remember to import foreign currency then convert in your Thai bank. Do not import Thai baht.
  24. The restaurant owner has no right to visit the customers home without permission, for whatever the reason. It is harassment.
