Parking rules and fines are usually found on curbside parking signs. Unfortunately, outside of tourist-frequented areas, the information on these signs is usually posted in the Thai language. Curbside or lot signs with a one red diagonal in a blue circle indicate “no parking,” and signs with a red X in a blue circle indicate “no stopping/no parking.”
Painted curbsides also indicate parking regulations. Red and white paint means “no parking;” yellow and white markings mean short-term parking or a bus stop; a white rectangle painted on the road indicates a “parking” zone; and multiple diagonal white lines means parking for motorbikes only.
Thank you for this link. I ventured further and these two useful links re signs in Thailand. Maybe a little off topic but useful

- Small thoughtful inexpensive gifts like a rose, or pocket Anglo-Thai dictionary etc. WILL be appreciated.
If you don't have any of them at hand, a house, car or iPhone would do it too!

Internet fares may be different from dealing with their staff. I know Qantas charge more if you use their telephone sales staff.

My bill for a 3 bedroom,3 ensuite and extra toilet and 16Kg washing machine is about 170 baht a month. If it was double or triple this it would still be very cheap. Water bills IMO are very low on worry scale if less than 1000 baht a month.

So, in summation, for this thread, it is up to an individual to live their life as they see fit.
After all, it is their life to live for themselves.
Very well said I totally agree.

Very interesting. I might have to give it a try one of these days....if I can find some Borax. Those little yellow pellet things (in the clear green container) doesn't work too well.
Yes, thats what I have.
They are useless. I will find some borax somewhere, I will just have to ask some Thai friends.
But how do you say Borax in Thai?
I found this site that sells borax http://www.healthfoodthailand.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=borax&x=7&y=7

I find easiest and safest way is to have the SMS alert, anything moves in or out you get an sms immediately, worth the 20 baht monthly fee for the extra peace of mind.
My SCB account charges 10 Baht a month. I agree with the above post cover your pin input. Without a pin an ATM account cannot work. Credit card skimmers are totally different. If the credit card is out of your sight then there is a greater likelyhood of a fraud. Restuarants have the greatest vunerablility.

Check with the country that you want import or export from Crocodile and some snakes are on the endangers species list. You do need permits from the country of export and import if they are a signatory to CITES. Thailand is. Do your komework forst.

Mine was today in Chiang Ria. We drove from Phayao and shopped in Central. We then went to Makro. Shopping from Central locked in car. Came out about an hour and a half later and spotted the drivers door of our vehicle wide open. This stupid driver had locked the car but did not realise I had left the drivers door wide open. The end result was that everything in the vehicle was still there. I would like to say how relieved I was. I would also like to say that how honest the other shoppers were. Thankyou to all the shoppers in Makro today.

You talk very well about your subject. Better to get it into the open from both ends...................

They do it is called Thai food. If you want farang food then you go to other restaurants that do cater for farangs . There are many in tourist areas.
