    in actuall working out that smokes in perth, e.g marlboro lights cost about 18$, it might be worth it.

    Is there a limit to how many you can bring in or have sent over and pay the duty on? if not then ill stock as like i say it'll work out cheaper in the long run i think

    If you import too many Customs might think that you are a commercial importer. Through the post keep the value of goods under $1000. This includes the price of the goods and the freight.

    Australia Customs are absolute A-holes. I had the regulation 250 ciggies plus an opened pack in my pocket. I foolishly did the right thing and declared the extra opened pack. Some litte Hitler posing as a woman customs officer, wanted to charge me the full duty (about $80 from memory) on the lot, saying I'd exceeded my quota. Either pay or have them confiscated. I chose to have them confiscated. Of course while she was lording it over me three or four drug couriers slipped through.

    The customs officer was wrong.

    An open packet of cigarettes containing 25 or less cigarettes in the possession of an adult will also be able to be imported duty free

    And the crap (speed) is so destructive that even if the addicted want to turn their lives around there is NO road back. Worse than heroin or cocaine so I've read.

    And the crap is so much cheaper to cook-up. It's really messing-up some lives both here and around the world.

    It`s not true. Speed (amphetamine) ist rather harmless against metamphetamines (Meth) and Speed was easy to quit for me.

    How can Speed be harmless? Maybe it was easy to quit for you, but not for so many others. People do shoot this stuff, is that harmless? wai.gif

    It does a lot of damage to your body. My step daughter from my previous marriage was addicted for about 2 years. Her health has suffered and will never be the same again.

    Wifey gets my casuals (T's, cargo shorts and chinos) at the Export Shop in Future Park (Google for other locations), work shirts and pants tailored by a little shop in the midst of Rangsit market smile.png

    Crossy, the Export Shop in the Future Park mall may be the same one I've been to for clothing. As I recall, the products they carry are from closeouts from businesses in the US that are closing. The shop seems a bit small, but has a very decent selection, including plus sizes, of shirts and pants for larger farangs at prices much lower than they'd be in the US. I can't remember which floor it's on, but I think it's either one or two floors below the top floor food court area. Sound like the same place?

    Sounds like it, but I do admit that I don't actually go often, clothes just get replaced as She Who Must be Obeyed decides they're worn out.

    I aggree that their definition is totally different from ours. Last time in Bangkok MBK 6th floor good cool 2xl and 3xl shirts

    I really DO hate the bib. what a career choice to make. will I do a normal hard working job or will I try to excel to be the scum of the earth ? not a hard decision for normal people. Don't hit me with, "they are not all like that", yes, they are. find me ONE that hasn't took a back hander. 'they only get paid 6000 baht a month, they have to do it.' bullshit, you are either (A) a scumbag (bib) or (B) hard working. which is it ? sick.gif

    The government should pay them 30000 a month. Then they would not demand tea money. The government would receive more revenue from properly receipt fines. This increase in revenue would more than cover the extra wages. This is good in theory.

    Three very hard games in the next 4 weeks. The last round is Geelong at Geelong. If they want to make the GF then they have to win some of these. Bolton off with a knee injury. Go the Sydney Swans

    Bolton would be a big loss, so fingers crossed there. They have a tough run home, collingwood, hawks, geeling (should win against WBU).

    If they can beat 2 of the 3 top teams they are in good stead going into the finals.

    Not mentioned!!! But i do believe that is 9 wins in a row for the swans, their best streak since they came to Sydney.

    Red Plates - What Are The Driving Restricitions

    Must stay in your district and in day light hours on red plates. You can use red plates for 30 days, after that YOU are committing an offense. No plates are illegal. sad.png

    No plates displayed there is a 7000 bhat fine. I bought a new vehicle in April and still waiting for white plates. I have no red plates, I have driven though numerous police checks but no fines. Apparently there is a shortage of white plates which I cannot understand. I live up north and there is a large number of vehicles without any plates. There are other threads on this forum about this. My dealer now says after many phone calls that there is 120 day delay. My 120 day runs out next week. I think I will be still waiting. I have my numberplate number and rego sticker but no plate. It is very frustrating.

    What a game tonight. I tipped Hawthorn to win but I was very glad to see Geelong win. It was a very good game.It was a great come back from Hawthorn after the first quarter. As a Swans supporter it was a fantastic result.

    You're right mate, just about the best game of the year.

    Now can some of you guys help me out?

    After the footy last night, I was channel surfing on True and

    noticed that on channel 113 ASN, they have "Australian Football League"

    advertised at several times on the weekend. Most of the slots are for 30

    minutes but there are also 2 on Sunday scheduled for 2.5 hours.

    I assume it's only available on platinum but if anyone could have a look

    and advise the games, I would appreciate it.

    Bottom line, if they're showing games that aren't show by the Australian Network Channel,

    it's time for an upgrade.

    Having said that, they might be older games so would be interested to find out.

    Just an update Trend Setters

    Saw this on the AFL website

    "ASN will bring you 1 Live and 2 delayed matches from each round of AFL along

    with weekly highlight program and we will feature the best matches of the Final Series and Grand Final."

    And the ASN website says they will telecast the Syd/Ess game live on Sunday.

    They will then show the WCE/Freo game on Monday at 5.00 pm and the Carl/Syd

    game on Tues at 7:30pm.

    I totally agree with the above statement Never change change Baht to Australian in Australia upon your return. You loose heaps. Just google exchange rates from Australian banks and you will see.
