    Sheer genius

yes sheer genius, this is why if your a non smoker and you complain to your mates at your local they will tell you to sit somewhere else and keep on puffing, I solve this because the shop bar lady puts me at the end of the table with a fan behind me, my mates all smoke except me but I dont complain I just let the fan blow the smoke away,

People will only protest Thaksin if he comes out of the woodwork and publicly gets involved in the government.

The best thing PTP can do is send Thaksin home and tell him to stay home.  Do not go out.  Do not speak publicly.  Act retired and play with his grandkids.

If he starts to act as the leader then there is going to be a problem.  The last thing the military and elites need is him coming out and making them look like idiots.

I think his new role is Thaksin incognito, he will have his say, but what he says will be as private as his medical care.

More than likely already set in motion months ago. Done deal and well understood among most circles.

This innocent portraying and speculative guess work by the abiding establishment media is quite amusing.

Tabloid sensationalism passing as investigative questioning journalism.

Part and parcel of the show that most are suckered into.

This is a movie in the making, when part one is complete and Thaksin is ticked up at his home, Part two will begin it will be Pardon part two- episode two, but you will all have to wait a few months to view it.

    Useful Information.  Thank you

For anyone who is British, living in Thailand, and withdrawing there UK private pension funds  into Thailand,   what's the situation with the double tax treaty,  are we exempt ?  I heard every country has different rules regarding this.

you will have to look up the agreement between the UK and Thailand, The agreement Between the Government UK and the government of Thailand For the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income

The treaty between Australia and Thailand stipulates under Article 18, that Pensions and Annuities can only be taxed in the state of origin.

From an australian viewpoint, payments would comprise the government pension as well as regular payments from a persons (over their working life) accumulated superannuation funds.

I have 100k deduction on pension, 60k personal deduction, 190k age-deduction plus deduction for wife and health insurance. I do not pay in to any pension plan in Thailand or overseas. I have no morgage in Thailand which would give deduction on payd interest up to 100k.

About the second point: sure, we all know the army always obeys the government in this country! 😁

About the first one: you are right. In a democratic country, there would have been an investigation and people responsible for It would have been convicted. Why did the army and the Dems bury the case, as it would have been the ideal occasion to nail Thaksin?

    Then he would rise again
