An entire article that can be summed up in three words: Bitcoin is volatile.
Every rise is followed by a fallback but it doesn't matter as long as the floor keeps steadily rising, week after week.
Currently, at $54,700 it is 5% below its 24hr high, but 13% up on the week, 70% up on the month, about 100% up since the start of this year, and 450% up on the year.
Don't invest in Bitcoin if you need to take your money out tomorrow but, if you invest for the general rise over the next year or two, you will do fine.
Just Tesla and the boys having a bit of fun gambling.

If quarantine is dropped entirely, expect 2 million, or less tourists for the remainder of the year. Possibly 3 million in 2022. And up to 5.million in 2023 and 2024. I doubt we will see 10 million a year, within five to ten years. And we will never see the numbers Thailand used to see.
They will continue to get more Indian, Malaysian and Chinese tourists. But most will be lower income, and lower middle income tourists. Thailand just cannot attract higher income tourists anymore. Very few. The focus on quantity over quality will continue to erode the nation on countless levels. More is rarely better. It just lowers the quality of life for nearly everyone, creates more congestion, more smog, more traffic, longer lines at immigration, and makes life difficult, especially in the big cities. There are countless things the government could be doing, if they wanted to attract the high quality tourists, and go for quality over quantity. Quantity over quality is never a good thing, unless you are selling one dollar items at a swap meet. It just lowers the quality of the experience for all.
These issues and problems were becoming apparent long before Covid. And none were being addressed. That is part of my point. Tourism had been declining for years already. The numbers were up. But the quality of tourist was way down. And according to everyone I spoke to last year, the year before and the year before that, income was way, way down. So, "this blame it all on Covid scenario" is somewhat disengenuous. Sure, Covid is huge. And the drop now is stunning. But, my point is there were plenty of issues prior to Covid. And are any of them being addressed?
Very well said, Chinese tourists in big numbers travel around in bus loads, same as Koreans, well healed travel first-class and travel in nice cars.
People just don't have the money now, due to the world in recession.
There will probably be a glut of hotels and condos for sale in LOS for some time. It will take a humungus effort to get all the airlines up and running, the street vendors humming, and the bar girls dancing.
But if they build a few casinos in Phuket and Chiang Mai, they might get a few million Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese, no where near what is needed to get tourism flying again, and not a good thing for local people.

these announcements are getting kind of scary. these people actually run a country. let that sink in.
Mai yaak means, not difficult, no problem if they can get walking St ready in time. This is what Thailand, sorry the Chinese Thai that are firmly in control of the great leader wants.
People will soon be marching through Suvanabum in great lines again waving their vaccination certificates in the air, the Japanese private clubs in Bangkok will be busy sprucing their places up.
Chinese hotels will be dusting the cobwebs off, there will be flags flying saying thank you Sino Vac.
I can't wait.

All the big pharma vaccines have been funded by taxpayers, Europe, Russia, USA, NZ and Australia, China ect, how much have the Thai taxpayers contributed?? My guess would be very little. The companies that can by legislation then own the vaccines they developed are legally able to sell it back to the world's leaders

They have such a way of making foreigners feel so welcome don't they. ????
As foreigners, do they mean all the exploited Myanmar workers pay???, this would mean Captain Fishead would have to pay for all the workers he and his mates smuggled across the border ? that would be getting off the hook light considering the cost of damages they caused Thailand.
Then all the myamese workers across Thailand would have to cough up, as it is very obvious that slaves are never treated well.
I'm sure their employers will loan them the money, triple the cost and a good weekly interest rate for repayment, then they could extend that generous loan and include the wife and kids.
All the other filthy foreigners including teachers who schools depend on can also pay up.
Then the government can demand that all those filthy foreigners have to carry a vaccine certicate issued by the government at a small fee of 5000 Bhat.
Any foreign workers caught working on fishing boats will be immediately be put in quarantine camps and fined.
Their employers will then be required to loan them the money for their fines, vaccination and Govt certificate.

so not tourists (expatriates, workers, businessmen), including repatriated thai, will still have to do 14+ days, but tourists only 2 days (probably to wait for a reliable negative results) and let go to any unprepared hotel or let go to mix with a large group of fellow tourists and travel across the country for sightseeing.
and that in the country, which doesn't have a single dose of vax for it's population (bar some 100k front medical workers).
it will be full failure
Sounds like this quarantine at home is for those who own or rent properties, I only Say this as the article talks of a special chaperone service.
Will that be a 10,000 Bhat taxi from BK to Pattaya and then a stationed keeper parked outside your home for 14 days at further costs plus tips for running to the seven 11 and Mac Donald's.

Some time back NZ Shipping line was crippled and sold as it was so top heavy something like 1000 office workers to about 200 crew, it could not survive.
Thai Airways will not survive without a complete overhaul, it's only in this position because so many managers paid themselves bonuses on cheaper airfares.
They destroyed themselves, they're still going to be top heavy and won't survive unless they get the knife out and trim a few more cronies of the list.

THEY understand it well, it's YOU forum members who do not understand the simple fact: Thailand does not want backpackers anymore, only rich tourists are welcome.
Click "back" button in your browser to go to the "Thailand News" subforum and read all those topics about selling elite condos to Chinese millionaires, converting Pattaya to Dubai and such.
By the time Thailand opens up, all backpackers, hostels, guest Houses will be owned by the Chinese, and will have been converted into gold shops, money exchanges, and Chinese hotels.
Maybe we will see a few casinos thrown in as well.
Then when the high speed cattle trucks start to run business will boom for Chinese investors, they probably won't be accepting Bitcoin.

You don't need Covid-19 to kill people here just put them on a a motor bike and it will just happen .
There was a falung economist on international news yesterday praising the way Thailand has been handling covid 19 compared to Europe, USA ect.
Not one baht has been invested in road safety, not just Thailand but the whole world is letting people die on hospital waiting lists while politicians invest in vaccines with tax payers money, that they then buy off the drug companies all because they passed legislation that gives the drug companies rights to own what they develop from your money.
The road deaths mean nothing to the mad men running the club.

I just learned that having a roof causes more rain to fall.
The Chinese have it covered, they are going to build a water purifier plant and all those new downpipes will send rainwater to the plant which they will then bottle and sell to the Chinese tours.
You might even get a boutique brewery making Walking St Pure Ale, made for pure Phuket rain water.

Do not worry the Chinese investors have it well planned, there will be high class Chinese spas incorporated into the hotels above them. There will be Chinese restaurants, gold shops and money exchanges.
The beach front will provide parking for the tour busses the whole thing will be a pleasure to the investors.
In the mean time when the tourists start flocking back the new walking st of old will rebuild itself in a different area, I mean you can't expect to hog all that prime parking space on the beach just to hang out in a girly bar .
Look what happened to Pratunam in BK, it shifted a few blocks to Sukhomvit,no one hardly knows it was the red light area during the Vietnam war.

I used to play palm reading game, you have baby in Esan? yes how you know, your husband no good gamble to much, drink to much, have mia noi to much, he run away give you no money... how you know?
Then they would all line to have their palms read.
Thailand does have a problem with slave labour as young Thais don't want to be guma gones (common laborer)
Now that the bar girls are unemployed there should be plenty of laborers around.
But mind you the first to get on the shovel would be a Thai girl they are good workers.
Ig the Thai government banned Burmese workers from entry now, there should be plenty of beautiful maids available and there should be no shortage of Thai labour at present with the covid situation

Yes, I am befuddled, how they figured this out, they seem to have dropped the astra zeneca, which is all over the news now as unable to be effective with the vastly spreading new strains.
Strangely no mention is made of the others, at the moment we are witness to a worldwide mess, but don't worry they will tweak the vaccine, and the memorised politicians will conduct a circus, orchestrated by Billy Gates and the rest.
.
What they say now is better to have a dud shot of a unproven vaccine, even though we know its a failure, however we will keep pursuing this and pay the drug companies, because we have to learn to save face, even though we do not give a dam.
So all you tax payers are in for the greatest show on earth.

The thought of throwing 600,000 Baht at these people every, what is it, 5 years, is laughable and to avoid 90day reports, which take me 10 minutes online every 3 months. Now you can get one with an over priced, poorly built condo. Unbelievable.
What actually happens is that the property developers buy the cards, then it is built into the price, trying to get an Elite Visa without buying an overpriced condo is very difficult to do.
Yes another scam, now the big boys are very busy working out scams, while the Tuk Tuk scammers have to plant rice.

Yes but the hard done by TVF members posting here about their scammed by tuk tuk drivers experiences don,t share that reality. “Tough as nails” world travellers who can,t manage a ride in a cab! Geeez. Really?
Banks receive money from the government printing press. Usually backed by govt bonds (pieces of paper) or securities, then the banks give it to the poor to buy things, like food and houses, cars and Tuk Tuks, who in turn have to pay interest to the banks. Then the banks take whatever you have got left when you fail to repay, and land bank it for future profit, or use land and houses confiscated as securities so they can get more money from the printing press to give to you to buy another car or house .
I have no sympathy for banks , they and the stock exchange pilfer the world at will.
The USA is heading towards the end of FIAT currency which has lasted 50 years , the average of other bases for the dollar have lasted 20 years.
Maybe time to switch to gold silver or Bitcoin.

He didn't actually say which vaccine, loong too would be getting but probably the Sino vaccine, maybe he could have a bob each way and have astra as the first shot and Sinovac second. I've heard that idea touted as being a good way to get good immunity.
He doesn't need immunity as he is already immune to every thing.
