  1. Correct. They forgot the multiple re-entry permit I paid for.
  2. Based on how much their target revenue is. They work backwards.
  3. Ok, so let me ask anyone reading this thread. Has ANYONE seen ANY other news/media outlet reporting this piece of news?
  4. "The committee’s report was sent to the polling agency’s secretary-general who in turn assigned the deputy secretary-general to distribute copies to sub-committee members to again assess and rule on this petition before informing the main body of its decision." The polling agency? Is that how TNR refer to the EC? And what is this gobbledygook? Reads as if the committee's report was returned to the committee for reconsideration. TNR, please clarify.
  5. In fact, I couldn't find any other news outlet reporting this. They quote TV channel 7.
  6. Good news at last! But nothing in BP about this.
  7. Ah, the penny's dropped. They organise Pita/MFP whipping. The petty Pheu Thai - the name's a joke in itself - and all other parties' sport of choice. Their very own political whipping post
  8. Also, it begs the question what the so called "whips" were doing in the previous parliamentary sessions when many Senators and MPs never even showed, and hundreds abstained. Do they even exist? And if they do, what's the point of them? And who are they? Party allegiances are forbidden in the Senate, so the purpose of the whips is what?
  9. The author of the article should have added the vote was unconstitutional, majority or not. The Speaker should have known that and not even allowed it to go ahead. He has created total confusion. Whether the CC rules that way, it remains to be seen, as they will rule whichever way they're told to rule. There are separate rules for nominating a PM and for tabling a motion. They are by no means the same procedures. Pretty much a dead rubber as I think MFP has thrown in the towel as far as nominating Pita for PM goes. It's still of interest to see how the CC handles it. After all, the MFP had the backing of the chair of the 2017 constitution drafting committee, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borwornsak_Uwanno, who urged them to challenge the idiotic vote. Wan should have resigned. That would have set the cat amongst the Judas party's coalition pigeons. They would have had to have spent weeks arguing amongst themselves over a replacement for an extremely important parliamentary post.
  10. Try a new ballcock
  11. Saving face 101?
  12. So how would you have dealt with it? Blame shifting and all?
  13. I pay for a service but the agent forgets an important item included and paid for. Immediate response is, you didn't pay for that and I'm shown at a distance some sort of receipt that I can't read. I check on my phone and sure enough, there's the payment in full I made. Then of course I get the Thai tortoise syndrome. The whole office withdraws into an invisible shell. Looks in my direction like it's all my fault, why am I making trouble etc etc. We're not wrong. Not possible. You stupid foreigner etc etc. Eventually I figure out doing it myself is a far safer bet, so to my and their relief, I get the money back for the item they forgot and I, believe it or not, end up apologising for the trouble I've caused. Odd, isn't it? How I feel guilty for spotting their mistake, or attempted scam, maybe. And hours later I'm still feeling bad about it. No apology from them. Just denial and blame shifting. The Thai way or the highway. Always was and always will be I guess.
  14. She's got 3.5 baht of gold and 34k THB in cash in her bag? What's that, about 150k THB in total. Maybe to pay the hospital?
  15. Rights of way don't seem to exist here. People charge out of what would be termed side roads normally as if they had the precedent and everyone is expected to somehow avoid them. Just introduce a solid white line across the minor road junction point to indicate no right of way. Too much to ask? You don't need a sign even. Or put up an emoji. ???? That might work I guess.
  16. How so? This is a case brought by Theerayut Suwannakaysorn, a so called lawyer. Hopefully he will be sued for vexatious litigation. Never read such a dumbfoundingly baseless suit in my life. Just part of the smear campaign.
  17. Why would it say that? And once again, what business is it of yours? He has work here. Enough said.
  18. I wonder why he was refused boarding?
  19. I met a man from Khabarovsk in the spa also. He made no bones about what a hellhole it is. Freezing cold for 6 months and hot for 6 months, with swarms of mosquitoes. A territory almost twice the size of Thailand, there are only 1.5 million people there. His assessment of Putin? A thief who has done nothing for the Russian people. And a woman from Irkutsk on the shores of Lake Baikal, an unimaginably enormous expanse of fresh water, more than all the Great Lakes combined. Communication is the key to enlightenment. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Baikal
  20. I'm the guy who points out that reading the full article would answer most of your alleged inconsistencies. What are you, some kind of amateur guess detective? You're not sure where his $2000 came from but you assume it was his. What, no KYC?
  21. And you are what? A Thai immigration officer? What the heck business is it of yours how he got here and what he does when he arrives? You can't even be bothered to read the whole article.
  22. Probably murdered the border guards.
