My non stick frying pan cooks much faster in the middle on an induction hob. Eg scrambled egg.

I was given a tip for testing the quality of stainless steel. Any magnetism was a contraindicator as to quality. I had a lot of ss work done at my house 15 years ago. I tested the steel while it was still being shipped. No magnetism. 15 years later, no rust. But induction requires magnetism, so I guess the opposite is true. 🤔

I'm with 3bb. For about 10 days on and off I've had the dreaded blue buffering circle going round and round. My IPTV had become completely unwatchable, so my provider did numerous checks and reported their servers were working normally and offered a print out of their output speeds. They reckoned my bandwidth was being throttled. So today 3bb showed up, and last thing the engineer said was, he'd removed all blocks and limiters on bandwidth. I'm on the 300 Mbps package. So it suggests 3bb where throttling. I'll know as I go.

Losing it for whatever reason would have been a total disaster. Arguing with customers, fighting, overcharging etc etc would have jeopardised it. I tend to pitch in when I see a lot of ignorant comments about taxi drivers. How they should learn English, how by nature they're dishonest scammers, like they're some kind of low life scumbags. So don't use them! They're not really in a position fight back.

So what did they think they were agreeing to when the driver explained the different routes? As you say, trying to piece together the whole story is impossible. But there's no doubt if they came on toll roads, they should have paid the tolls, if that's what they agreed to, and she should have collected the money at each toll. They slipped away, and she's presumably left out of pocket. Google translate doesn't always work. But she felt aggrieved enough to wait for the police. If it was a scam, and she never actually came on the toll road, would she have bothered? If that was the case, well then she's got no sympathy from me.
