According to the dictionary there are 'entry' visas (and sometimes 'exit' visas). You can't get a visa inside a country (unless it is an exit visa). You can change the nature of your visa or extend it. Or of course get a residence permit or get a new nationality.

Well you don't seem to feel at home here.

My wife tells me that she would go to the temple in the morning and go to work in the ricefields. I like to see the little kids being disrespectful once a year but seeing 13 year olds drunk at 9am isn't funny . Staying at home until Thursday that's for sure.

These cleaners get rid of anything they don't recognise. Ccleaner is a load of panda poo in my opinion. However when I used it I had the option to choose what to delete I recall.

Who cares? Let mankind go down an historical plughole. Best thing that could happen to this planet. Pity about the kids

Visited a friend in northern UK some years
ago and his wife complained about a neighbour burning tyres in his yard. She looked surprised when I asked what the police were doing. Police? Why should we get the police ? The problem was eventually solved. 'by other man's.

Is there a way to get rid of these creatures, poison or something? There is one of them just outside the bedroom window that wakes me up every night. Daytime he's always quiet , so I can't go hunting for him.
Go home and live in a concrete monstrosity.

So, according to the original report, no problem if we spray this water over the mayor and his family to initiate the festivities?

YES! Thanks very much. I did decide that it was Amaryllidaceae eventually but not knowing its origin stemmed me.Seems to be Eucrosia bicolor (from Ecuador or Peru)

I believe that beef carcases need to be hung in a freezer for at least two weeks, thus tenderising the meat. None of them around you will notice. I do occasionally make hamburgers to stick in the freezer , meat for four hamburgers last time (1/2 Kg) ฿90.-. Forget about eating beef here,

That reminds me, I must buy enough beer so I don't have to leave the house.

I always try to help when people need a plant ID, now it's me, I'm stuck. Two photos here, the plant is about 60/70cm high, leaves 5 or 6 cm wide, parallel venation. Using one key I got Orchidaceae which it obviously isn't. I worked in a botanical garden and got into the habit of not liking it when I didn't know the names of stuff.
Ovaries inferior. Bulbs.

The only reason I can think of not to use them is that there are places without a SCB. Since having an unfortunate experience of my credit card being swallowed by a naughty ATM I only use my card at a Bangkok bank when it is open. Thanks.

hmm. Travelling alone and presumably not speaking Thai. I think you can assume, especially outside of Bangkok that no one can speak English. That, along with having no experience of the way Thais act and react, will possibly leave you sitting on the steps of a railway station somewhere wondering how to find a hotel and whether these strange guys on motorbikes are Hell's Angels or what.
Also the fact that you are (very nicely) asking for information suggests that you don't have the chutzpah needed to do what you want to do. Find a companion, although this will result in your having even less contact with the Thais. I have travelled extensively, both alone and with someone and I can assure you that there is a big difference. I saw people travelling alone in Marocco that couldn't speak French, they were getting paranoid.

The only pizzas I eat here are the ones I make myself, including the dough . These work out more expensive than the rubbish you get in most restaurants. You want a good pizza, you pay for it.

I may be posing this question in the wrong way, and maybe my experiences apply only to Buriram.
I generally do my banking at BigC Bangkok Bank. If I am doing well I can get to the desk in 20 minutes, nobody pushing to the front of the queue as has been described elsewhere. However the service is 'unsatisfactory' unfriendly and questions are treated as though I am a time waster. Two doors down, Siam Commerce Bank, much fewer people (that's part of the question, why?) and am treated in a civilised manner. I keep telling my wife that we will transfer our account to SCB but wonder in the back of my mind why so people are in there. Can I access a SCB account through Internet?
Thanks.

Yeah we have some really tough guys here.
Take the car ferry to Koh Chang?
in Eastern Thailand
Posted
Is it worthwhile my taking the car over to Koh Chang? We are planning on arriving on the 18th or 19th and staying for two - three nights. I'm confident about my driving abilities but if the roads are difficult to navigate, if there are too many Song Kran idiots, maybe I should leave it in Trat?
Where is a secure place to leave it if I did leave it in Trat? Thanks.
