  1. I use 'revo uninstaller' which can also force uninstall programs. When the program's built in uninstaller has finished you can look for what is left over, there is always a surprising load of cr"p left over. If that doesn't work I have in the past done a search for the offending program in 'regedit' and deleted all references. You may want to do a search for any junk files while you're at it, also using Revo Uninstaller..

  2. Did you resolve the bbc I player issues? Will UK ITV player work. Couldn't care less about the rest on offer. Thanks if you can respond. I have Apple TV which I use for subscribing/purchasing movies. So I suspect my IP is already logged on account as Thailand. I would want to use Apple TV to watch BBC and ITV if it were possible, or I might consider buying a new android box?

From last time I checked, there is no bbc and itv app in apple tv yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

For BBC, we only support it in browser and android. Actually, we support in other devices too but you need much better connection, so I leave it unsupported.

We support itv.com too, you can watch it via browser and ios device.

We also support 4oD and Demand 5. Don't forget, you have to switch netflix changer to UK even you don't have netflix at all.

Just uninstalled this, what the heck is a DNS? I was told I had set up my DNS wrongly, I went through the DNS check and everything was 'false', I hate stuff that tells me it's my fault.

Can you access other geo-based website like pandora.com? If yes, then you are good to go. Sometimes, it's just a browser cache.

if not, Please capture screenshot where you set our dns on your machine via support ticket.

Please don't get our service wrong. After you set up Trickbyte dns on your device. You can watch it normally like you are in supported country. Not through our website.

For example, after you have set up our dns. Go to http://www.netflix.com to watch netflix.

We support netflix on browser, ipad, iphone, xbox, playstaion, Samsung tv & bluray, LG tv & bluray, Roku and Apple tv.

We also support 6 Netflix country: US, UK, Canada, Brazil, Sweden, Netherlands You can watch movies with your preferred languages.

Hope it helps. Post any question you have here. I'll answer.

No it doesn't, I don't mind paying for a service but I don't see why I should find out what 'Please capture screenshot where you set our dns on your machine via support ticket.' means. I don't remember setting a dns whatever that is and I wasn't asked to. I didn't get anything labelled support ticket. Don't forget that most of us are really really stupid, or to put it another way don't want to know stuff about computers that they may use once every year.

Back to Youtube and Mediahint I guess.

  3. I just use my Kenwood to make the dough, seems to do a good job of that. I stopped using it to make bread after about 6 attempts using recipes from the booklet, pretty useless, I couldn't work out the difference between teaspoonfuls and tablespoons, as the instructions weren't in English but French. I just ake recipes off the internet.I would invest in a dough maker, available in Makro if I were to spend ฿7000.- on bread making again.

Anyway I have made pizza shells, focacchia, bagels and all sorts of breads in the gas oven.

  4. What a load of twaddle so far.

I know the stretch of road from here to the school (25Km) as I do it twice a day. I drive to avoid the bumpy bits, which means that I spend a lot of it on the right hand lane when necessary. People that don't know the road as well as me will probably stay there. I have no qualms about overtaking on the left or going across the central line to do so, Makes me suspect that a lot of the people complaining live in big towns.

Red lights: if you can't stand a 5 second wait, you shouldn't be driving. There is a lot going on at these crossings (last minute red light chancers, people doing a left turn into your path, motorbikes doing unpredictable stuff) and moving forward slowly is the only sensible way to move. Nobody blows their horn at me when I decide to stay behind a motorbike on a narrow road, when I change my mind about which way to drive, stop the car double parked to let people out. I really appreciate that.

  5. I need to do this sooner or later, overhead (as in you have to duck when going around) cables are decoratively festooned all over the place, we have two houses in our compound and a third is on its way. My only worry, apart from the cost, is to find a contractor that is capable of doing this.

As for welding, I had thought to leave conduit ends above ground, protected of course, that should solve the water problem. Not a solution if you have 500 meters to do of course.

  6. We use EMS when we have to but it is expensive. Cost me nearly ฿1000.- to send a document to Switzerland, but it got there. Same in the other direction, my family use EMS.

However, I have heard that even tracking won't do you much good, stuff can disappear in Bangkok, what do you do then?

  7. You may have noticed that Thailand is quite big. You may find out with time that quite a lot of it isn't anything like Sukhumvit, Pattaya and Phuket.

    Suck it and see.

Some people here hate it, that's why you get negative responses, people that like it are generally less aggressive and less likely to spill their bile on Thai Visa.

  8. the other are some kind of green leaves

The leaves look similar to malabar nightshade/spinach. It is a vine that will sprawl across the surface if it has nothing to climb.

Thanks! Yes, it sprawls across the surface. I am not sure if it would climb. It looks rather weak and the roots are very small; one can without any effort pull it out of the ground.

Here some more photos of one that I pulled out yesterday; it's slightly wilted. As you can see in some of the photos it has very small black seeds.

Right! Doesn't look anything like the original foto.

  9. I don't want to attch to cement. Simply dig a hole about 4" x 4" on my lawn and stick in the poles and strengthen with cement.

Now I understand what you mean.

Yes it is possible to use a sand/ gravel cement mixture to fix them in the ground, but it only really works with old timber that has dried out quite a bit. Using cement by its own is possible if you mix it into the soil. But as said above it will only last for some time as it will eventually rot.

A better way to improve the ground to give the columns more stability is to use "dry stones". You need to dig a larger hole and build up a ring of stones in a drywall fashion around the column and cover each layer with soil. If you charcoal the top lay of the timber that will be underground, you might be able to reduce the potential of rot quite a bit.

How deep should the hole be if the column is 2m high?

If these poles are to be 2m out of the ground, I would try to have them about 40-50cm in the ground. So they should be about 2.5 m long.

What kind of fence you're looking at? Just wires/ mesh? Than this would be more than enough.

Yes, and throw in as many stones/rubble as you can, compacting with a hammer. You can still throw your cement + water in there as you build up as it will go hard on you pretty soon if you don't use it soon.

  10. I have an Android, Samsung. Using Wifi and 'use sensor aiding' in addition to GPS in cities improves fixes and precision. The tall buildings can easily interfere with the GPS signal and Bangkok is difficult enough as it is. I don't use this outside of Bangkok. I do know what my phone looks like when I have wifi or internet turned up or not. I don't have internet on my phone because I haven't paid for an internet plan for months.

When I press the navigation button on my phone it asks me if I want to go to location settings. I do, and press enable GPS. It asks me if I want to use wifi and sensor aiding but as I say, I only do this when leaving the toll road in Bangkok. These three apps empty the battery quickly, and both using and charging at the same time can lead to your phone shutting down due to overheating. That's why I only use the GPS app where possible.
