I said weeks ago that Harris shouldn't do a second debate. I don't think it could go any better for her than the first debate and it would be replete with potential soundbite danger. There's talk of the Joe Rogan show. I think Harris would do fine on that show as Joe is the type to let guests talk. Then again if Trump appears on Rogan the Internet will melt down. Interesting times.

I ignore Rivera, and I have a long list of MAGA types I ignore, including some who would rival our resident conspiracy theorist here. Be rest assured I read some utter garbage from both sides, total and utter garbage.

I tipped Harris for the White House in 2018 based upon her Senate hearing performances. Two months ago I would say this election was in the bag for her based upon the level of Trump hatred in the US public. I still think she may win but it will be on an anti-Trump wave rather than any of her "qualities." I honestly believe that my other 2018 tip, Amy Klobuchar, would have romped this election. The fact that it's close is beyond belief and only shows that CORONATIONS don't work.

I think that's a fair enough assessment. It was not a good performance but not as catastrophic as some say. I don't think many people thought "wow, I'm going with Kamala" as a result. Where I don't agree is that everyone has made up their minds. Aggregate is around 3.5% of the voting population. They can swing any battleground state. There's an even bigger coterie of Silent Trump voters. But I maintain by far the biggest coterie of voters are those who cannot stand Trump. If Harris wins this election it will be anti-trump hatred that hands her the White House.

So far the American left has been quiet, Republicans are rejoicing. I'll be interested to see what the left tries to salvage from this disaster.

Good. You're an experienced man. Some guys walk into bars and are immediately defensive and hostile. No one can argue that, we've all seen people who are not happy until they are unhappy. Just be a gentleman and give the lassie enough money to buy lunch the next day. And if you are settling down for the night, in a regular bar, do what petermilk suggests. Buy the girls a bottle of Sangsom for their table. Do that and you'll get through the Fourth Wall that eludes too many so-called "experts." It makes life far easier and enjoyable that constantly being on "lady drink" guard.
