  1. I found it pretty respectful up here in my town yesterday when we ventured out to the Wat.

The water splashers only on interior neighborhood roads with slower traffic, not out on the main road that I saw. I agree, f'in stupid to hit someone with water as they go by. Especially motor bikes.

Wonder how many mobile phones get fried.

  2. I think it was this thread that someone said the women are men w vg's

he is right, there must be something in the food here:

    look at this girls body,

many men wish they could have that shape,

    variously

Many do, to the chagrin of some male tourists who get surprised later when she has a pee standing up.

    oh sweet jesus.

    I never thought of that,

    but,

    are they really "fooled?"

or is that just what they tell their friends?

"Oh sweet Jesus" w00t.gif might indeed be a phrase used in either case.

This may not be appropriate for Best Qualities of Thai Women. Or it might. Depends on the Mod. LOL.

  4. I have heard it is another place w nightlife and bar girls, but do they use US dollars and is the exchange rate as good?

and, what about their immigration laws for US citizens, is it easier than the hoops jumping of thailand?

btw the only reason I know that is a friend from LA met a girl there, and as he described her, I began thinking (bar girl), I saw a picture of her, and then he said she had two daughters..........he then said, and she "WAS" a bar girl, but he is in love, completely smitten and knows he is in for trouble, but he is going for it, full on.

I said nothing, after all, what was the point

The other forum website (wooden door) has a PI forum, it's pretty good, check it out.

It didnt come up in the search.

I may be headed for Panama.

Apparently a friend has a large project there she wants me to be involved in from her Miami base of operations

My only knowledge of Panama comes from the series Prison Break. which was mostly in the studio of course, but gave many visuals which were real.

    It looked like another Miami

    Teak Door.

  6. I live on the darkside Kho Noi and Went for Sunday dinner 6 pm on my motorbike, saw a few kids with what looked like their mom armed with buckets. I shouted, please no, but got an ice cold wave. The woman was so enthusiastic directing her kids to aim for our face's. Great shot nearly had us off the bike. We went home dried off, ate in and booked a trip to Krabi for Tuesday. This crap used to happen mostly in town its crept out here now. <deleted> is it all about realy.........how many deaths do they want...Nutters !!I

I heard more ambulance sirens today BY FAR than I've heard on any day living several years in Jomtien.facepalm.gif

Has Pattaya Songkran morphed into the Running of the Bulls ... but much LONGER?

I heard one too up here in the village. Dance music at the headman's house went off and about an hour later, the sad "somebody died" music started. Lots of old folks here, at least 1 a week kicks off. sad.png

  7. ^ that's my basic understanding as well. Compressor keeps going so don't have the big power draws when the temp gauge triggers and the compressor has to wind up again.

Seem to recall it is especially beneficial if you plan to leave the a/c running all the time, not like many folks in Thailand, just use it in the bedroom at night when sleeping. Sure others will be along in the morning with much better info.

  8. Not that I have had one but I thought San Miguel light was a light beer but i think it's something to do with low carbs

So many suggestions I'll be like a kid at a lolly shop next time.

    Thank you all!

It is, I find it light and refreshing (if really cold, as it should be), and for the occasional night on the piss, doesn't do me in the next morning like the heavier beers.

  9. Started on Heineken then moved to San Miguel Light but that's only available in cans in my town, so I usually go with Tiger when I feel like a couple beers at home. The mid-sized Tesco about 10 minutes drive has been stocking the big Asahi bottles the past 4 or 5 months but not in my town. Asahi is a nice change of pace. I rarely drink Singha. Tried a Chang in 2008, got 1/2 way through and had a headache, never done it again.

  10. I have to agree with you. Soft olive skin, beautiful dark eyes and sexy smooth legs.

Why is it Thai women don't have hairs on their legs? Well my wife doesn't, or am I just the lucky one?

They all have hairy legs ... it's just that the hair is so fine, it's almost invisible.

The only place all humans don't have hair on their skin is the palm of their hands and soles of their feet ... unless the high School Biology Teacher was telling porkies ... whistling.gif

OH ... except for some special ex Navy Seals who frequent the bar stools round the Nation and swear that their bald head is a solar cell for a sex-machine!

His name is Phil, Sagittarius who likes reading, listening to soft rock, romantic strolls on Walking Street at sunset, and is mad over football. Never in the military or even the Navy.

    Is this a self portrait.

Absolutely, including the big..... feet. Just like my wife's. Her best quality.

    Edit: Phil's photo deleted

Did your'wife make that photo of you? What happened to your other eye?

You see that todger and wonder what happened to my other eye? biggrin.png

Don't want to get thread off topic, just that David's comment about Navy Seals in Pattaya made me think of Euro Phil.

    Edit: Deleted Phil's photo.

  12. What are the best qualities of Thai women, that we all love. For me it is their caring nature, happy demeanor, soft skin, exotic facial features, child-like behavour, great legs and cooking skills.

Something tells me someone went a long time flying solo before coming to Thailand and finding " true romance" and other assorted fantasies come true.

    Or.......

  15. Never thought of that, I'll have to count next time.

I literally just heard one of the small geckos chirp. It was 7 times.

Edit add: Very exciting Friday night here as well. tongue.png

  16. Are there any airlines in Thailand - or S.E.Asia generally - that allow passengers to smoke, or to "vape"? smile.png ...i would happily pay more.

I am sure that would be successful.

When we were still able to smoke on board, I once got sat next to a Saudi who chain smoked the entire way to wherever we were going, I think it was Cairo. He was a real machine. Couldn't imagine a plane of just smokers, might be like a Cheech and Chong movie.
