Police do get involved with compensation, you must know that?

Not in the UK like Thailand where if you pay enough compensation then the case is dropped by the police. Prosecution the UK does not depend upon the compensation asked for or paid.

I just checked my 1st class insurance, 3rd party liability.

    500,000 per person

    10,000,000 per accident

    1m property damage.

If someone hasn't got enough insurance they should pay compensation, hopefully the police will enforce it

  3. The water that is blown out is the same temperature as it enters the unit but in a very fine mist. This in turn lands on you and vapourises which in turn lowers your temperature 2-4 degrees, similar to using wet towels in very hot environments, so yes they do have some use. Also some have HEPA filters built in and can clean the air considerably. Used one as a temporary solution pending installation of a fixed unit, and found it very beneficial. You can even add ice to the water reservoir to cool even lower.

I am sorry, but I don‘t quite understand. I thought that if one is on a work permit and loses her/his job, the visa (permit to stay) is automatically cancelled, unless one is on a PR basis or possibly (not sure)  married to Thai permit basis. If I am right in my assumption, how can one get the benefits?  Out of Thailand?

Totally agree otherwise it does not make sense.

That would only apply if you checked your luggage through at the original check-in, and would only be an option if one ticket (code share) covers the whole trip.

Sorry wrong, I have a relative who regularly does exactly what I have said and the two flights are definitely NOT code share. The only criteria is that you have to arrive and leave at the same intermediate airport.

  6. Most teaching hospitals are glad to accept bodies, they even have a temple service to thank the next of kin. I know someone who did it in Bangkok, donated a relative that is,  and the hospital took care of all costs including the final cremation.

When people are sick they use them to not spread germs.

Very true, they do nothing to stop particles entering the mouth, for that you need a HEPA type filter system. That is why surgeons wear them in a very clean environment. Protect the patient.
