As a foreigner, if you work in Thailand, you need a work permit. Period. That is the law.

That said, as a digital nomad, there are several options available:

• don't tell. make sure that nobody knows about you working, otherwise somebody could inform immigration. Make sure your salary does not come directly from the company you work for, this would be a pretty telling sign of you working. Let the company pay you into an account outside Thailand, and then transfer the money to Thailand in your own name.
• create your own company, hire Thai employees and do it by the book. There are companies in Thailand, that help you with that, they even offer "Thai-Employees-as-a-Service", offer the taxing work for you etc. This is costly, don't go that route, if your salary is not in the at least mid-6-digits THB monthly 
• Co-working spaces: There are plenty of companies offering co-working spaces, some will "hire" the digital nomad and for a share of his income, they will give him the work permit and do his taxes.

With regards to foreign earnings, yes, all foreign earnings (not only from working, but also capital earnings etc) would in theory be taxable, if brought in to Thailand in the same year they were earned. However, you would need to check, if the country the earnings come from has a double-tax-treaty with Thailand (many countries have one, i.e. Switzerland does).

If you are concerned about cost  I recommend any local barber shop... they can get rid of your hair problem within minutes ????

Something in the package you presented was inferior to the package of the chosen candidate... maybe your salary request, but given your mail, it might just be your attitude...

Doesn't matter much.. your now ex gf threatens you online and makes wrong allegations. Take a lawyer, report her to the police, use the defamation laws against everything she put online, because she is trying to ruin your reputation.

The thing with police works both ways:

Take a lawyer, go with him to the police, and make a report about your wife cheating on you, threatening you and making false allegations against you!

Since - according to you - your wife has no proofs, because her allegations are false  she will withdraw them pretty fast.

You are right... one can do... as the OP did... if you don't care whether the comparison makes any sense

You can NOT compare prices in Thailand with prices in the US. 

The "influx of foreign tourists" this year did NOT not happen because water splashing was not allowed... it did not happen because of the entry restrictions that still exist when travelling to Thailand. Only if those entry restrictions are completely gone - at least gone for all vaccinated tourists - THEN the influx of foreign tourists might happen again, and  THEN the question about what impact water splashing rules have on tourist numbers can be asked.

I am afraid, @Bakwan, if you do not have online banking for both accounts (or at least for the EUR account), you won't be able to do any transfer from where you are now. Also, the above mentioned idea of calling would fail completely, as the bank staff would have no whatsoever possibility to identify you in a way that would allow them to make transactions on your behalf.

The only option I see is this: You need a trusted person in Thailand. You will send this person the bank books and a "Power of Attorney" letter that clearly outlines, what kind of transaction this person is allowed to do with your bank books. Your signature on the PoA letter needs to be verified / certified by witnesses and of course everything in English.

Then maybe - just maybe - the bank will agree to the transaction outlined in the PoA letter.
