  1. @Emeraldisle : Please provide a list with countries that boycott the Olympics 2022... so far, I don't know of any country, the US not sending any diplomats is not a boycott. Lithuania might not go to the Olympics, but that is less of a boycott by them but due to the fact that China scratched them of the customs data base as if the country would not exist anymore.
All other countries, there is just lots of talks but no action, as they know exactly, what the economic hammer in the hand of China could do to their economy.

And as for sports bodies... the IOC is so corrupt, they would rather sanction countries that boycott than China itself. Money talks and the more money, the more bootlickers from the IOC will enjoy the perks that China will give them.

  2. I don't think you must file a new TM30. I am in your situation, marriage extension,  same address as my first ever (and only) TM30 3y ago. I spent 15 days in ASQ. I have NOT filed a new TM30. Since then, I have done a onsite  90d report and a renewal of my extension, nobody cared about the old TM30 slip that I stapeled inside my passport

First they have to actually want foreigners here, which the majority don't and certainly not in any significant numbers.

They DO want foreigners with money and/or high income, and digital nomads would mostly qualify in that category, and the Thai government could gain a significant amount of Tax income... however, none of these foreigners will jump through the hoops with creating a company where he does not control the shares, where he needs employees for nothing, when he can do it either without the knowledge of the Thai government or in a country that is less restrictive.

I just don't understand all those requirements and restrictions... the latest example was the 4-year duration for the digital visa, why not just make it unlimited with annual extension? I was looking into creating an IT security company (God and the 7-eyed-spaghetti-monster both know that Thailand could use expertise in that area), but it is just crazy that I have to hire Thai employees while I am in the process of developing the business... I was told that I can not even do an exploration with potential customers, before I have finalized all the company creation steps and got my work permit...

  4. The language used by these so called "judges" and the thinking behind is so much stone-age and despicable, it is unbelievable... but that is what you get, when generals decide who is sitting on the highest benches... it is even worse, when you think about the wide acceptance of same-sex relationships or transgender lifestyles in this country, just shows the COMPLETE disconnect between the elites and the people. This issue at hand is just one of many examples. And from the translations of the verdict that I have seen, it is even more sad and - frankly - dangerous, that the court threatens lawmakers to not even think about legislation to legalize same-sex relations in any way, shape or form...

I will not comment on some of the posters in this thread, it would probably get me banned indefinitely...

HOWEVER... when you leave the wording away and think about just the basic fact of "what is marriage", then Thailand is not so far behind western countries, in some countries, legal same-sex partnerships exist for less than 20 years, and the official "marriage" has been approved less than 5 years ago. AND there are plenty of countries in Europe (not talking about African or Arab countries), where the thinking of the Thai supreme court is pretty much the norm. In Thailand at least, there is no lynching and no mob and no fines / prison sentences, when same-sex couples enjoy their life together, the general population is very accepting.

I am confident, that "sheryl" will sort it out, with regard to the fundamental question:

Valid RT-PCR test by "saliva" analisys? Yes/No. Internationally accepted even at BKK Airport?. Yes or no?

I have already given you the answer. IT IS VALID, IT IS A RT-PCR TEST . I entered Thailand with such a test. And at Zurich airport, there are now several providers who offer RT-PCR test results in 3-5 hours via Mail including certificate, and you even can make an appointment, so you don't have to wait in line.

Don't make something complicated that is not.

  6. I am using an app called "camera translator", take pic of document, app detects language, translates into a language of your choice, I use it successfully for Thai to English/German, even handwritten notes. Advantage: you can download many language packages and use the app offline also

That's what I thought, I know you can show a certificate of proof that you've had it before to enter certain countries, I think its called "Proof of Covid Recovery" or something like that, I guess Thailand doesn't recognise it.

Yes, in Switzerland you get a Covid certificate two weeks after you recovered from the virus, and the certificate is valid for 180 days and allows you to do the same thing as a certificate for vaccinations.

However... the AIRLINE, which will check your PCR test, will definitely not let you board with a positive test, NO MATTER your certificate.. remember: People who are vaccinated and have a certificate can get sick again, so how can an airline know, why a test is positive or not? They will just NOT let you board the airplane, and personally, I would be very thankful for knowing, that no people with positive tests will be allowed into the same airplane as I am.

Also remember: Your positive test will not only subject yourself to a 14-day quarantine, but also everybody who did sit around you in the plane.
