  1. Connect with French Expats with Thaivisa France

Thaivisa.com’s sister site Fr.Thaivisa.com provides daily updates to the French community in Thailand from visa to Thai news; making more posts than any other French site in Thailand.

Although Thaivisa France has only been live for 12 months it currently attracts over 100,000 page views and 69,000 sessions per month (March 2017). The site is also supported with a Facebook and Daily eNewsletter.

How can this benefit your business?

The French expat has a reputation for having a higher disposable income than other expat groups and is not afraid to spend on the finer things, such as eating out.

Thaivisa can not only connect you with this group but also translate any communication into the French language for you.

How can you connect with the French Expat with Fr.Thaivisa.com?

Although banners are offered in the site,  a good advertorial which we can pin in first position on a target forum site (such as the Pattaya or Bangkok forum), which also can be shared on the French Thaivisa Facebook page and daily eNewsletter is an excellent starting point.

We can prepare 1 advertorial for you, pin it in the forum and share on one newsletter and one Facebook post for 5,000 baht per month. If you would like the pinned post shared on the newsletter and Facebook page once a week then the cost rises to only 10,000 baht per month. Minimum contract is 3 months.

what do I need to do ?  just use the "seed" or ????  and then what......

I know it will take years to get fruit but since I already have the tree its free to try and these are really tasty so I know what I will be getting :)

and then there is the big peach tree in the backyard........

    Lots of people have tried.

There is an old and fairly lengthy topic on growing avocados here:

  3. We're in Hua Hin and it's pretty easy to avoid here. Stay out of the town centre and Market Village and you're ok. Also, it's all over in a couple of days here anyway. We had a bit of play yesterday as my daughter wanted to water fight with some of her school friends but that was it.

The one and only time I have spent Songkran up country it was four days solid of drinking and water fights - starting very early and finishing late. It was good fun for a couple of days and I enjoyed the new experience but by day 4 it started to wear a bit thin.

But overall I dont mind Songkran. I don't avoid it completely but don't go wild either!

  4. The start of the hot season means only one thing - Thailand's roads are about to start collapsing.

2015 was a particularly bad year [photos] for collapsing roads, with more than 80 roads collapsing in Prathum Thani alone, while roads in Bangkok, Ratchaburi and Ayutthaya were also affected.

Anyway, on Tuesday it started, this time in Samut Sakhon, Thai media reported.

Feel free to share your photos of Thailand's collapsing roads.

  5. Foreign spouse income limit: Supreme Court rules financial barrier lawful, barring entry to thousands of couples

But rules and instructions behind the threshold are not lawful when it comes to the welfare of children, the judges say

The Supreme Court has said the Government's £18,600 income threshold that bars UK workers' foreign spouses is lawful, but judges admitted it will continue to cause "significant hardship" for thousands of couples.

The policy, brought in when Theresa May was Home Secretary, has been blamed for keeping families apart because British citizens living in the UK do not earn enough money to bring their non-European Economic Area partners to the country. It holds even if their partner's earnings would tip them over the limit.

The court's decision means thousands of relationships may still have to be conducted at long distance. But the judges also determined the rules and instructions behind the income threshold are not lawful when it comes to the welfare of children.

  6. Cabinet to weigh to extending free tourist visa program

Airport staff dress in traditional Chinese outfits and give Red Packets to arriving Chinese tourists to mark Chinese New Year on Feb 9, 2016, at Chiang Mai International Airport.

BANGKOK — The interim cabinet Tuesday afternoon will consider a request from a top tourism official to extend free tourist visas and discounted visas on arrival for another three months.

Since December, tourists from more than a dozen countries have been able to obtain visas from abroad without paying a 1,000 baht fee and visas on arrival for 1,000 baht instead of 2,000 baht. The three-month policy is set to expire at the end of February.

The extension through May was requested by Tourism Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul in response to sagging tourist arrivals which threaten to further weaken the already lackluster economy.
