  1. if you feel that your 2.5k a month rental income is good for the next 30years+ go ahead. 75k baht leaves you enough $ , as an older single guy , to put some asside and live a nice life unless you become a monger.

you could even go as far as getting a REALLY nice 20k baht studio w/ real kitchen (its a lot for 40sqm) and live a nice life with lots of outdoor activities, restaurants and small travels.

  2. You just re-embarrassed yourself. Marbles are the little lines of fat. All beef has marbles.. Its just that some lower quality products have a lot less or they have a large chunk of concentrated fat.

and lol comparing 90days shipping with 180days dry aging.

Are you a pro mama noodle cook?

in this day and age when someone is too .... to open wikipedia and type beef marble its as bad as thai drivers

    http://en.wikipedia....ki/Marbled_meat

Marbled meat is meat, especially red meat, which contains various amounts of intramuscular fat, giving it an appearance similar to a marble pattern.

even pork from tesco has marbles.

  3. kbb you know how a lot of people(thaicruze) embarass themselves in the motor forum? Well you're doing just like him now. You cant compare 'thai fresh beef' which is underfed with no nutriments and has no marbling to the AUS beef which is grass fed and for a few baht more is already aged 180days. If you buy the full tenderloin/ribeye or whatever part you want it doesnt come to much more than the thai meat yet is at least better by 300%

Would bet that if you brought mr ramsay here and blinded him for a beef taste, he'd gag on most regular thai beef

Aussie beef is grass fed so is most Thai beef

Aussie beef is aged because its shipped to Thailand

Thai/French beef is a trade name its still Thai beef and you buy it

I cannot see where KBB is embarrassing himself you should read your own posts

Japanese beef which is marbled with fat is 3000 baht a KG in Villa Mart or 300 baht a 100 grams

    You just embarrassed yourself.

Aged because it is shipped. lol

Yes all beef is all the same grade. Just as a 5$ bottle of wine is the same as a 1000$ bottle of wine.

If you're going to eat beef, go to Japan or the US where it is grain fed and marbled. I just won't eat any of the stuff here anymore!

2.2k baht sometimes on sale for a whole tenderloin/ribeye vacuumed at tops central. Pretty decent marbles AUS imported.

Sometimes they have 180 day aged aus beef at 1000baht/kg

  6. I remember several years ago I almost got divorced for turning left on a red light. It was onto a one way street which was going in that direction and there was no cross traffic. My wife who was mad at me about something else, I'm not sure what, took that opportunity to tell me that i was a horrible driver and because I didn't know that one can't turn left at a red light that just went to show how much else i don't know. It's kind of funny now.

again as i said earlier. In that exact same situation i received a ticket 2 days ago. (which i wont pay since i have red plates and they didnt take any id number)

  7. i often make meals involving minced beef and separate them in the middle. Half tesco/cheap tops meat and half thai french or imported aus/nz

Not only the thai french and aus/nz looks a lot better visually, the food does not taste alike at ALL.

I hate how in this day and age people who no food knowledge always talk as if their taste are as good as anyone else's. It's like a guy whos just had his first honda jazz starts going on a mechanics forum and pissing on a bunch of better car just because his car runs decently.

  8. Mince is mince its only the fat content that makes the difference

The older the beef the tastier the mince

BK use low fat content mince the same as you get from the main tesco lotus store

They only import the expensive cuts of meat here although i have seen imported lamb mince at Macro

Do you disagree that normal Thai beef is inedible unless minced?

Of coarse not, but once it is minced its as good as any other mince

    1000000000000% false

  9. In my opinion BK is better than MD here but both are rubbish i think the meat is microwaved

Hungry Jacks, its the Aussie version of BK is better they flame grill the meat

    you mean harveys?

    harveys-veggie-burger.jpg

thats what they actually look like.. HMMMMMM.. (thats a vege burger though)

No i mean Hungry Jacks, There was no harveys in W Australia 6 years ago

Although the burger looks the same

just looked at pictures and they dont look alike at all. Harveys is probably the best major fastfood chain. Even their hotdogs are amazing and fresh.

Now i just wish we could find those little spicy banana peppers in thailand :(

  10. Yes, you can turn left at red as long as it does not interrupt oncoming traffic.

It was on my driving license exam.

Once I overtook 20 bikes waiting to turn left at red.

In the front there was a police bike turning right.

I overtook them all without the police even glanced at me.

i just did it on my bike yesterday and got a ticket.. they were no cars coming.

  12. Have to say that since I've been in the North, the food options have increased dramatically, I now happily eat Thai food more than 75% of the time. By contrast the Thai food generally available in Phuket seems of lesser quality and certainly is way more expensive.

in bangkok my gf would often go buy food at the stalls on sukhumvit 101 and bring them back home.. i didnt mind that much

in phuket i dread every thai food day.

  13. Better insect control + better house cleaning habits. Not saying your house is dirty... but he's not there because of your personality. He's there because his food source is there. I know more than a few folks with gecko free homes.... these are also homes with no ants, flies, or even mosquitoes as well.

    :)

that requires a non thai contractor, a non thai builder and non thai or burmese workers. Also nets in the windows and doors and no smoking neighbors sending their ashes onto your house.

  14. everytime i drive by the tires are scatared all around from being hit, they need hard concrete like on that dangerous turn just before the wat chalong. So great to be able to keep in my lane without having cars from the other side jump on me. Plastic doesnt work, next to central they're all broken down from people being unable to turn their wheel for uturning and next to laemph in seafood/supercheap the plastic poles are half removed after being hit too much

  15. The new VIOS got a facelift. And it is just about time because the VIOS looks like crap.

Not only are you often in disgareement with most members on this board, but also with 80% of all car buyers in TH. Vios is the best selling car in TH. Thais love it. New and second hand.

Whats the population of male that would shop for their whole wardrobe at walmart if they didnt want to get laid?

.... that already buys their whole wardrobe at walmart?

.... that have their woman stopping them from shopping at walmart?

at least 80% (as seen in midwest america and tourist centers in thailand)

Cars are the same except people dont think the car they drive will get them laid so they just give in to the ugliness :) It's just like laptops too.. People keep buying acers and hp's and sony's when for the same price they could get actual quality laptops with style, they just dont know any better. I remember the first yaris i ever saw was at my gym a couple years ago in my country. Big guy.. I spilled water and 1 month later he changed it at a loss because he would get shit every single day everywhere he went and now only people who were hiding in their lockers during highschool are driving them.

Id also love to see the % of accidents by car brand in thailand, vios must be up there pretty high, i dont see how a good driver (or even someone with a license) would go for that car.

    cliffs:

Watch what 80% of thais watch on tv and tell me that saying that 80% thais buying this car means anything good for it.

  16. The picture i was talking about was the one you posted taken from the drivers side clearly showing saggy material which you quickly deleated after reading my reply , to be replaced later by a picture taken from the passenger side . You are now stating they are well bolstered which they may well be but the covers are <deleted> born out by the photo taken by your own golden hand there's a lovely crease on the backrest bottom l/h corner + others at the top , the squab looks like a water bed and i'm sure it is on the move all the time the side of the drivers seat looks iffy as does the centre consol. i know you will be in denial about deleating the first picture but luckily for all the members your second confirms what i stated your covers are crap and will only get crappier. At least now you know what 'sat in' means normally a reference to seats in a very high KMS car, another first here for you but probably not your dealer.

I think, as always in life, you get what you pay for. He paid 5,000 baht, although the dealer told him the usual price was 20,000. Well, my guess would be that 5,000 baht was the actual cost to the dealer (ie the cost of the product and the fitting), and the 15,000 they discounted, just the dealer's usual profit margin.

Now if you take the labour charges, other overheads, plus the profit margin for the fitters, how much of the 5,000 baht is that leaving for the leather? Not a lot. Is it even 100% leather? if it is, it must be very low grade.

after like 10pages in his thread its quite sad that some people still dont understand that the dealer gave him a 15k rebate on the car and they used it for his leather instead of taking the cashback
