  1. Leonard Peltier comes to mind immediately, without even going over the list of thousands of other pardons. In fairness, it wasn't a pardon as much as a "get out of prison and go home" card.
  2. Better look at your history before making that statement. Trump implemented the cap on insulin prices. Biden just went along. Prove me wrong...
  3. Did the quality of life for the Crimean people go up or down from 2014? It's not 1938, Putin isn't Hitler, and this isn't a war of ethnic cleansing to enslave Ukrainians and create living space for Russkies.
  4. I've been wondering how much energy the wind turbines will eventually be removing from the atmospheric system, and the knock on effects that will cause. If increasing CO2 by a few hundred parts per million is bad, how bad will it be to slow down the low level atmosphere?
  5. And that's what it takes to know the truth. Anyone demanding a "smoking gun" link is going to be sorely disappointed. You have to listen to dozens of interviews and look at dozens of documents (from all sides) to get at the whole evidence trail and the whole truth. And that does require reading and listening to stuff (and people) you find objectionable. Most of the posters here would rather have their talking points spoon fed to them by the MSM, and not bother to go down the rabbit holes and risk a flare up of their syndrome.
  6. What, what, what? The world isn't coming to an end? Canada and the US aren't coming to blows? Maybe Trump does know the art of the deal.
  7. In a few years, they'll be able to line up thousands of scrapped EVs in a field and use what's left of their battery capacity to store the juice. It'll be very scenic.
  8. My visa runs are TO Thailand. I fly to BKK from China, stay a few days, then fly back. Once a month. If I have time, I try to take the train to KBuri for a few days, because I love the place. Other months, I'm busy visiting hospitals, dentists and former co-workers and don't make it out of Bangkok. Which doesn't suck, either.
  9. You're going to be crying in your beer when those collectibles start selling on EBay for big bucks.
  10. Getting rid of the green haired vegans in the FDA will be a good start. You know, the ones who try to get eggs out of a rooster. Because ... gender.
  11. He's been in office for 3 days. It'll take awhile to undo the Biden damage.
  12. I love KBuri. It was always my favorite weekend getaway from working in Bangkok. Nowadays I try to get up there on my monthly visa runs to Thailand, including last weekend. I absolutely love the Saturday night street market. But I'm just not sure it's got enough variety to live there full time, especially as a non-drinker. If I can get a decent room at $100 or $200 a month, I may go ahead and have a dual residency in Bangkok and KBuri. It would be good to have a place to store an SUP and canoe/kayak so I don't have to haul them up from BKK like I did when I worked at Asoke. Otherwise, the decent $15-20 a night hotels are fine. Bangkok for the excitement and KBuri for the sanity breaks.
  13. Have you seen that Babylon Bee skit? It rattles on a little long, but it is funny.
  14. I don't know about them, but I want the biggest, burliest MoFo they can send. Did you catch how I threw in that inclusive pronoun?
  15. If I had to live on 300 baht a day, you'd be able to see the nerve endings jutting out of my fingertips. At the very least, that explains a lot of the difference in how we all handle money situations.
  16. This will be tested in the courts. Had he immediately laid them off, we'd be on the hook for back pay and huge claims of compensation for pain and suffering. Better to pay them to stay home (as if they were coming in anyway).
  17. Exactly how does it overturn protections based on race, color, religion, sex, blah blah blah?
  18. What's it say when it's cheaper to pay people not to come to work?
  19. Then he has his priorities straight. America first.
  20. I'm going with "dollars to donut holes". I think you can still get those for under a buck.
  21. Meanwhile, here's the MSM gleefully announcing their own downfall... Claiming that fewer people watched Trump's inauguration than Biden's................................On the major networks. More and more have abandoned the major networks and are watching on independent outlets. The New York Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Washington Times and others rushed to point out that Biden’s inaugural ceremony received an estimated average of 33.7 million views on cable networks, while Trump’s average cable viewership added up to 24.6 million. While the television viewership lagged behind Biden’s, Trump’s inaugural ceremony received 36 million views on X alone and over 5.2 million on the president’s personal YouTube page. 22. But it's become meaningless as donuts cost more than a dollar after Biden's term in office. Another loss for America.
  23. Sadly, that photo link is blocked here where I'm staying. But if it's the same portrait I've seen it looks like Trump is trolling, deliberately invoking his mugshot that helped him get elected.
  24. What was gutless was waiting until after the election, after repeatedly promising he wouldn't do it. It'll be years before the voters believe anything a Democrat says during an election year. Which isn't a bad result...
