ePacket from Thailand, anyone got a wife or kid using it for e-commerce?
impulse replied to impulse's topic in General Topics
Truth be told, the reason I tossed out fisherman's pants on Amazon is because that's not what I plan... That, I'm holding a little closer to the vest. But it does illustrate why I would need cheap shipping. I appreciate the input, especially from someone who's been there and done that. Thanks again. Sadly, my favorite idea is already being done: https://www.amazon.com/Phallic-Phallus-Buddhist-Blessing-Paladkik/dp/B016D68B8C -
U.S. lists Houthis as terrorists, rebels hit another US-operated ship
impulse replied to Amethyst's topic in World News
Christopher Wray seemed to be concerned... And that was before the war really went hot with the Houthis. Wray answered: “The group of people that you’re talking about are a source of great concern for us. That’s why we are aggressively using all 56 of our joint terrorism task forces.” Chairman Green continued: “But there’s really no way for you to guarantee Hamas isn’t in them. … Do you think that number, that increased number increases the threat to the American people?” Wray answered: “I think any time you have a group of people in the United States we don’t know nearly enough about, that is a source of concern for us.” https://homeland.house.gov/2023/11/15/fbi-director-wray-confirms-the-border-crisis-poses-major-homeland-security-threat-dhs-secretary-mayorkas-stonewalls/ -
ePacket from Thailand, anyone got a wife or kid using it for e-commerce?

True that. I wouldn't suggest they compete head to head with a product that can be found in China. But there are some OTOP and other Thai-centric products that have no equal from China. Genuine Thai fisherman pants are one example. Look them up on Amazon and the selection is awful. They only last a few dozen washings and I suspect a lot of tourists may order them, just for the nostalgia. But cheap shipping is the key... Thanks for the info! -
U.S. lists Houthis as terrorists, rebels hit another US-operated ship

During Biden's administration, somewhere over 8 million unvetted people crossed the US border, with tens of thousands more on the way. Hundreds already on terror watch lists. And now we're in an asymmetric war with a terrorist group who know they can't damage the USA on the battlefield. What could possibly go wrong? -

So you think it's a good idea to have open borders when you're in an asymmetric war with a terrorist group? -
After Trump’s NH win, Biden gets the opponent he wants

That's great. Because I want to know how they'll spell some of those words he made up. -
On that, we agree, But I always got the sense that cars weren't the big play. I was intrigued when they announced an insurance product (because who knows better how to forecast payouts?) And I hope it doesn't happen, but I can foresee the day you'll be looking down at your navigation display and it will be pointing you to that restaurant or theme park you're approaching. Not to mention selling your driving data to advertisers. Where you go, how often, where you stop for breaks, where you spend your dinnertime on the town... Then there's subscription services for basic and advanced features on your navigation display. There's a whole Orwellian market to tap related to cars. Just like they're making $$ billions on computers and smartphones. And the money's not coming from the consumer. We're just the product.

I wonder how many Houthis have crossed the southern border? And how many are on the way... -
He does care, but he knows there will be an appeal and in the worst case, the plaintiff will negotiate down to a reasonable number rather than risk getting the big goose egg. Just out of curiosity, if she can't even recall what year it happened, are you sure she remembers who did it? It may have been a Cuomo or even Biden...

I wonder how they did compared to their competition in those countries? German and UK economies aren't so hot right now. Also, in the USA, the ICE fans have been forecasting market saturation, where everyone who wants an EV has already bought one. I don't know that I agree with them, or that milestone has been reached, but it could explain why so many EVs are sitting in dealer lots in the USA for a loooong time.

After Trump’s NH win, Biden gets the opponent he wants

I challenge any Biden fans on here to write up a transcript for his recent Milwaukee speech. -
When in the USA, I occasionally buy stuff on Amazon and EBay that ships from China via ePacket. The total cost of the goodies (including shipping) is often less than the cost of just shipping the same goodies from Houston to Dallas by regular post. Thailand is signed onto the same postal treaty but I have never tried it from Thailand. Does anyone have any experience (or wife or kids) using ePacket from Thailand in ecommerce? No guesses. Only folks with experience need reply. And I have looked through the Thai Post ePacket website. But I don't consider that to be reliable, comprehensive info. I have some Thai friends that I'd like to help set up some e-commerce to supplement their income with some Thai products that sell for a lot more in the USA than in local markets. But profitability would depend on cheap shipping in small quantities. And no, it's not weed or kratom.

hahaha...i hope that was a joke..the decrepit tit fell off in full view of everyone last i saw..... I wonder if he rides a bike like Buttigieg does? Anyone who doesn't get the reference doesn't follow right wing media... -
As I read it, sales didn't drop. They only went up 38% year on year instead of the predicted 50%. Musk's problem there is that the stock price and capital investment plans have the growth baked in. Then it didn't meet expectations. Still, GM, Ford and other legacy automaker CEOs would kill their Moms for 38% YoY growth.

Trump is dominating the primaries. That doesn’t mean he’ll beat Biden

The beautiful thing is that the immigration crisis is actually pushing more Hispanics and Blacks away from the Dem party. Support for Trump in those demographics is growing in leaps and bounds. -
They lost me when they banned walking on the beach (middle of winter) but let the liquor stores stay open. Then even more so when the left side of my face went numb the day after my 2nd Pfizer. But for 6 months, the doctors insisted it wasn't the shot. A year later, they conceded it was probably the shot.

Once again, Iran and their proxies putting those Biden bucks to good use... -
Did you hear that? That was the sound of Trump support going up yet again. Because the American voters recognize this for what it is. Except, of course, those with TDS.

How do you feel about photography?

To get a full appreciation of the OP, you'd need to look up Brendan Kavanagh on YouTube. He ranges from entertaining to very obnoxious. His entire reason for being there is for his YouTube (or other) channel. Playing the idiot on a public piano until he gets an audience, then showing off. Sometimes, he pulls it off, sometimes he's just embarrassing. Some of the other guys that hang out and play piano around him are extremely entertaining and not obnoxious at all. It's pretty uplifting to watch 2 or 3 guys banging on a piano at the same time and getting it absolutely right. Well worth looking for on YouTube.
