Devon Lancashire does not agree. Excellent find. I'm not saying it can't happen. But I've met thousands of guys here in China (where I sit typing this the day after a nice respite in Bangkok weather) and I've never met one named Shandong or Qinghai. Let alone Qinghai Shandong. I'm just saying it's worth looking into. Maybe there's a province I've never been to, with names like that.

She's filed a motion to quash the subpoena for her to testify in the divorce hearing. Doesn't sound like anyone's getting gored here... 'Cept maybe Willis. Of course, with her being a fan of lawfare, I have no doubt that she'll try to use her public position to further personal interests...again... Here's some interesting stuff out of Atlanta (The Columbian) On Oct. 4, 2022, Wade purchased American Airlines tickets to Miami for himself, Willis and Clara Bowman, who is believed to be Wade’s mother and who traveled from Texas. The three tickets cost a combined $1,367. That same day, he paid more than $2,600 to Royal Caribbean International. On Oct. 5, Wade spent approximately $3,800 with Vacation Express, a company that offers vacation packages and tours. Wade, Willis and Bowman arrived in Miami on Oct. 28, according to flight records reviewed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The records also show that Wade and Willis traveled from Miami to Aruba. Bowman stayed in Miami and returned to Texas on Oct. 31, flight records show. There were additional charges on the card of $370 for the Hyatt Regency in Aruba on Nov. 4 and $3,173 to Norwegian Cruise Line on Nov. 7. It was not clear who took either of the cruises or who stayed at the Hyatt. On April 25, 2023, Wade purchased $817.80 in Delta Air Lines tickets to San Francisco in both his and Willis’ names, although they do not show when the flight was taken. They also show that on May 14, Wade spent $840.22 for what appears to be a stay at the DoubleTree hotel in Napa Valley. The records do not show whether Wade and Willis stayed in the same room or whether Willis reimbursed him. https://www.columbian.com/news/2024/jan/20/bank-records-show-that-fulton-county-da-willis-and-special-prosecutor-traveled-together-during-trump-probe/ Heck, even CNN can't dodge this one. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/01/19/politics/fani-willis-divorce-documents-fulton-county/index.html

Soi 6? Sports Illustrated. “The journey we’ve been on—to break out of the mold the world put us in—may sound familiar,” says SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day. “It’s certainly familiar to the women we’ve chosen to be our cover models.” https://swimsuit.si.com/model-years/2022 And they are paying for it dearly... https://edition.cnn.com/2024/01/19/media/sports-illustrated-layoffs/index.html -

Blow to Biden as poll shows Trump in lead for 2024 presidential election

60 years ago, I'd have agreed with you. 40 years ago, I could believe the disparity was a relic of past racial injustice. 20 years ago, maybe some holdover effect. But we're 3 generations into LBJ's Great Society, going into the 4th. Living in Texas, I have tons of neighbors whose families were dirt farmers in Mexico just 2 generations ago, not speaking English and not a dime to their name when they entered the USA. In those 2 generations, their kids and grandkids now own $300,000 houses in our beach community. Because their families (predecessors) valued education and didn't take living advice from rap singers... (Mexican music is generally very upbeat) 2 generations ago, my Russkie grandparents came to the USA with nothing and no English. We're doing fine, with several multi-millionaires in the family. And the kids are doing even better. Because they valued education (and listened to accordion music- if you grew up in a Russkie or Pollack neighborhood, you'd get the reference). If they can do it, why not the Blacks? I contend it's race baiters whose raison d'être is to keep victimhood thriving. Rap is a symptom. -
Blow to Biden as poll shows Trump in lead for 2024 presidential election

You seem to be trying to spin that as a racial thing. It's more of an "unfair to poor people" thing. Poor people have less access to health care and healthy foods. And one could argue that being poor is just one result of bad decisions, whether by them or their predecessors. But that would probably be called out as racist. For a great video on the topic, search YouTube for "HERE IS WHY BLK PEOPLE HATE OFFICER TATUM" In any case, life has always been rough for poor people, statistically. Social Security is no different. But it doesn't (and shouldn't) discriminate on color. -

Employers have added 14 million jobs

My only objection to immigration is how it's being done. America could tweak immigration policies and attract millions of the best and brightest from around the world. Scientists, engineers, finance wizards, health care workers, and good hard working blue collar non-criminals. (But they may vote Republican.) So instead, we have a wide open southern border with millions of unknown, unvetted people whose first act in the USA is a crime. What could possibly go wrong? -
Not quite into my 70's yet, but I didn't spend trillions of dollars and I didn't break the southern border and allow in millions and millions of unvetted illegals with no idea who they are, their criminal histories, where they're from, what ailments they're bringing with them, or what their employment prospects are. The effect of both of those are likely to linger for years, maybe even decades.

C H is contending that the public has the right to know a candidate's health. I'm saying, be careful what you ask for, because you just may get it. And you may not like it when it's your guy getting it. And you really need to watch more right wing stuff if you want to be up on the latest spoiler alerts. We used to call them conspiracy theories, until so many have come true.

I'm just saying that there's a huge political price to pay for declaring martial law. Looking at FBI crime statistics, it's a sad fact that cracking down on crime necessitates arresting a lot of the "protected classes", and the MSM isn't going to let that pass without screaming about racial injustice. When Trump tried to send in the Guard for the BLM riots, I first thought it was over reach. But that's because I only saw the MSM, showing only the peaceful parts. It took awhile for the right wing media to show the not-so-peaceful places where entire city blocks were demolished. I later came around to question why Trump hadn't acted more forcefully. But the answer was in the media coverage.

Is that evidence of cognitive decline, or of exhaustion from being pulled in 91 different directions by partisan legal attempts to keep him off the campaign trail. Frankly, I'm surprised the guy hasn't vapor locked already. Proving he's tough enough to be the leader of the free world, whether you agree with his policies or not. Compare that to the current leader who has to be led away from the podium for a nap after each incoherent rant. There's a reason war is breaking out all over the world. US weakness.

She'd be an idiot to drop out. IMO, DeSantis was wrong to drop out. The only way either could win is if Trump gets taken out by legal attacks. Haley may be the "last man standing" if Trump's legal problems force him out, which is looking about 50:50 (that's just my guess). But I think DeSantis would easily close the gap with her if Trump voters couldn't vote for Trump. They'd migrate preferentially to Ron D. BTW, regarding Haley, I'm with Rand Paul. (Anyone, but not Haley). She's the Repub choice of globalists and war mongers everywhere. Not saying I'm sure she's a war monger, but her history sure points in that direction. And definitely not an "America first" politician.

Those retirees seem to be bringing quite a few jobs with them. Florida gained 240,600 jobs (2.5%) since December 2022. https://www.floridajobs.org/workforce-statistics/workforce-statistics-data-releases/latest-statistics Lots of those jobs seem to be coming from New York refugees... https://moneywise.com/employment/florida-overtakes-new-york-in-job-numbers

Vivek actually predicted it. He claimed that the objective was to eliminate all contenders aside from Trump and their preferred candidate, then double down on the legal attacks against Trump so their preferred candidate would be the one. I think DeSantis made a mistake here. If (when?) Trump gets taken out, his voters would be a lot more likely to migrate to DeSantis than to Haley. So being in 3rd place, down just a couple of points, didn't mean a loss. And a Trump exit is the only shot any of them (including Vivek) had.
