What facts did they add?

I love this guy's characterization: In this installment of Rocky, a communist beat up an orange guy. Trump failed to do what no man has ever done: win an argument with a woman. With ABC loaded up to fact check Trump but not Kamala, it was clear that David Muir and Linsey Davis teamed up with Kamala. To see more 3-on-1 action, you’d have to switch from ABC to the porn channel. Somehow the “moderators” were able to call the police chief in Springfield, Ohio, in real time to fact check Trump on Haitians eating dogs there. But they could not bring themselves to ask Kamala about her likely lie that she worked at McDonald’s. https://dailycaller.com/2024/09/11/hart-kamala-harris-donald-trump-debate-abc-david-muir/

Kamala Harris Highlights Her Gun Ownership in Debate with Trump
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Here's the rest of that story, from JD Vance (of Ohio) to CNN: VANCE: Well, first of all, city officials have not said it’s not true. They said they don’t have all the evidence. We have heard from a number of constituents on the ground with first-hand and second-hand reports saying this stuff is happening. So they very clearly, the people on the ground dealing with this, believe that it is happening. And I think it is important for journalists to actually get on the ground and uncover this stuff for themselves. When you have a lot of people saying, ‘My pets are being abducted, or geese at the city pond are being abducted and slaughtered’…This is crazy stuff. And whether these exact rumors turn out to be mostly true, somewhat true…Kaitlin, this town has been ravaged by 20,000 migrants coming in: health care costs are up, housing costs are up, communicable diseases like HIV and TB have skyrocketed in this small Ohio town. This is what Kamala Harris’s border policies have done. And I think it is interesting, Kaitlin, that the media did not care about the carnage brought by these policies until we turned it into a meme about cats, and that speaks to the media’s failure to care about what’s going on in these communities. -
If the first few pages of the executive summary are correct, it's worse than that. The Doha agreement called out conditions to be met before leaving. The conditions were not being met, but Biden made the choice to withdraw anyway. No way he can legitimately blame that on Trump. Of course, if you read only the MSM, everything bad that's happened since 2015 is Trump's fault. The Biden-Harris administration was determined to withdraw from Afghanistan, with or without the Doha Agreement and no matter the cost. Accordingly, they ignored the conditions in the Doha Agreement, pleas of the Afghan government, and the objections by our NATO allies, deciding to unilaterally withdraw from the country.

She did. But that's not surprising given that it looked more like a tag team event than a one on one debate.

Investigation by the city’s Immigrant Accountability Response Team formed in October of 2023 has revealed the possibility “there were companies that knew they were going to make an effort to bring in individuals who were crossing the border based on federal regulations that they could do that,” Rue said. “I’m upset at the fact we didn’t get a chance to have an infrastructure in place if there were going to be 20,000 more people from 2020 to 2025. We didn’t get to do that.” https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-mayor-investigation-into-businesses-immigration-continues/W4OJQYSNUBF7JCMSD72VVQGNQI/ Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday he doesn’t oppose the Temporary Protected Status program under which some 15,000 Haitians have arrived in the city of about 59,000 people since 2020, but said the federal government must do more to help impacted communities. https://apnews.com/article/springfield-ohio-haitian-influx-governor-dewine-f5a552d7ebc6e246882dca96a39a3aaa The number of migrants varies depending on the source... The county has more people than the city proper.

Politicians fib. They embellish, they ignore inconvenient information, they exaggerate, they skew statistics to make themselves look good. We're fine with that. It's been going on for 250 years. Americans aren't looking for a saint. Take Bill Clinton. Horrible morals, but a pretty good president. Unlike Carter. Extremely moral man, who was a disaster in the White House. Americans are looking for someone to get us out of the morass that has gotten so much worse in the past 3-1/2 years. Which is what Trump should have focused on. He wouldn't need a plan to deport 10 million illegals if they hadn't been let in by the border czar. Nobody needed to announce a plan for Ukraine or Israel or WW3 after the Trump years. I'm disappointed that Trump took the bait. But I'm not surprised, given that the ABC moderators were anything but neutral in their extended leadups to many of the questions. And Kamala reminds me of the people I've encountered in my career that are great at getting jobs and wangling promotions. But they're horrible at actually doing the job. I can't think of a single place that was better for Kamala having worked there. Border? Nope. California crime? Nope. Economy? Nope. Afghanistan, Ukraine and Israel? Nope.

Wasn't that last month? And the month before... And the month before... And the... As I recall from the AN thread on the Easter Sunday debacle, there are around 240 "special days" on the LGBTQ+ calendar.

seems like you are lying there. Yeah. I think the plan is to fire the deadwood and not replace them at all. Edit: To clarify, since it's almost impossible to fire a civil servant for being incompetent, the plan is to eliminate entire dead weight agencies.

I see the ABC moderators are being fair and balanced. Not.

It wasn't the city, but I was kayaking under the bridge on the River Kwai when I came on a coiled up snake that was easily as long as my 14' kayak. I couldn't tell if it was coiled around something it was going to eat, or coiled up because it just got run over by a longtail boat. Seeing it writhing in the clear water (and me right on the water in a tiny boat) spooked me from getting a closer look. Sucker was huge.

Nude awakening: Foreigner filmed naked on Phuket hotel balcony - video

There's been lots of discussion by people who never have, and never will read the actual report. For anyone who cares to actually read it, here it is. It's 353 pages, so not exactly a light (or unbiased- in an election year) read. https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/getting-answers-on-afghanistan-withdrawal/ No comment on my part... Edit: There's a 15 page Executive Summary linked on the page.

When they catch 51 intelligence officials in a bald face lie just before the last election, you'd be an idiot to think 10 former military people wouldn't lie before this one. American voters aren't idiots. Talk about weak sauce: Harris “has demonstrated her ability to take on the most difficult national security challenges in the Situation Room and on the international stage, from rallying our allies against Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine to standing shoulder to shoulder with our allies in the Indo-Pacific against China’s provocative actions, to advancing U.S. leadership on space and artificial intelligence,” they write. The only skill that Harris has demonstrated is the ability to fail upward. She's an expert at getting the jobs... Not so skilled at doing them. Edit: Much to the dismay of Fluffy's former owner in Springfield Ohio...

Will pepper spray stop dog attacks
impulse replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
I bought my collapsible batons, pepper spray, illegal pellet rifles and legal airsoft pistols in Chinatown on these alleys marked in red. Across the street from Khlong Thom market. That was before Covid. (I gave away the illegal stuff (pellet guns and some big honking machetes) when I found out people were getting arrested for having them. Many of the kiosks that sell them are still there, but they're a little more discrete about displaying their illegal wares. There was a crackdown a few years ago. You have to look below the top shelf to find the goodies. If you spend a few minutes perusing their legal stuff, they may steer you to the stash... Where that alley hooks into Yawarot (sp?) has a row of shops with the nastiest looking selection of stuff you'd want if you ever got into a knife fight. They also have batons. There used to be a nearby row of shops selling amped up airsoft guns and accessories on Thanon Wiwat Wiang, but it looks like they never came back after Covid.
