Why More Americans Are Choosing Thailand Over Florida for Retirement

It's an advertorial. Still, lots of good points. -

Show me where it says that in the Constitution. -

Never heard of a 3 strikes law? You get due process. And an enhanced sentence. Those preceded Trump's terms by decades. -

US citizens? Because that's the topic here. If you're talking about illegal immigrants, that authority is vested in the Executive Branch. Always has been. -

With or without due process? Who decides who are "all the worst convicts"? If you're sitting in a US prison on a violent felony for the 4th time in your life, you've already been afforded all the "due process" that you deserve, and I wouldn't object to saving the taxpayers some money by sending you to a retirement in an El Salvador prison. Or if you're convicted of violence against another inmate or the guards while you're in a US prison... -
Being the only foreigner at a lot of trade shows and airports in China, I get asked to do a lot of selfies. Recently, I've looked amazingly young on some of them because of smartphone camera tech that shaves year off my old fart face and bald head. I don't know what setting they're using, but it's spooky.

One exception is naturalized citizens who can be stripped of their citizenship. Happened to a few former Nazis who had become US citizens, then it was discovered they participated in Nazi crimes. (I suspect that it's happened to others, but the Nazi cases are well known.) And of course, there are extradition treaties where criminals sought by other countries may be sent to those countries for prosecution even if they are US citizens. But none of that is new (or specific) to Trump... -
Pardon me for not wasting the keystrokes, the bandwidth and the readers' time to lay out the analogy between total water consumption scaled down to a bucket of water.

You may be satisfied with overpriced appliances that perform miserably. Not everyone is.

Trump Is Already Slowing Global Trade as Companies Pause Orders
impulse replied to placeholder's topic in Political Soapbox
They're certainly built faster than Biden's $40 billion high speed interweb. Or California's high speed rail. But that's beside the point. Trump's looking for long term prosperity. Not a short term, debt fueled sugar fix (and vote buying scheme) like the Dems. -

If tariffs force companies to make stuff in the USA, that means more (and better) jobs, a stronger economy and (for those of you who have forgotten why the US was so instrumental in winning WW2), a stronger manufacturing base in case we need it if SHTF. -

How could I have missed something that hasn't happened, and probably won't? Quick question for you... How many users are currently enjoying Biden's $40 Billion high speed internet? -
Trump Wields Executive Order to Dismantle State Climate Laws
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
More liberal tears. Bureau of Labor Statistics figures said the Consumer Price Index fell a seasonally adjusted 0.1 percent in March. That led to a 12-month inflation rate of 2.4 percent down from the February rate of 2.8 percent, according to CNBC. The core inflation rate, which excludes food and energy prices, was at 2.8 percent, the lowest core inflation rate since March 2021. Winning bigly for Americans.- 95 replies

Trump Wields Executive Order to Dismantle State Climate Laws

Which makes perfect sense. Some state laws only affect residents of the state. But other state laws affect the rights and lives of residents of other states, including interstate commerce.- 95 replies

If you look at the scheme of things, the water used on showers and dishwashers and laundry is literally a drop in the bucket. You could make us all walk around with perpetual BO and eat off dirty plates and it wouldn't help the environment.
