Air particle concentration is not measured in mass units, it is measured as # of particles of whatever per unit volume. μm is the size of the particles in question, 2.5 microns and less being the most damaging. As of 13:19 today, the AQI for BKK is 79. AQI measures 5 different indicators of pollution, not just PM2.5.
