Over 400 criminal cases brought against foreigners in Phuket

Guessing he means that when you are looking for something, (misbehaving foreigners in this case), you will find it/them. -
Over 400 criminal cases brought against foreigners in Phuket
Ohyesuare replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Hard to imagine that he would be found innocent since he filmed himself kicking at and swearing at Thai people sitting on encroached public property so I won't even entertain that notion. As for who decided to revoke his visa: "Deputy Phuket governor Sattha Thongkham on Tuesday chaired a meeting of all relevant units and forwarded an urgent letter to the Immigration Chief of Phuket province to consider revoking the Swiss man’s visa as he poses danger to society or likely to cause harm, endangering public peace and order." I imagine it was more of a demand than a proposal and immigration complied of course. -

The visa revocation is just a bonus, the punishment will come after the trial. And he is on something like a defendant's visa until the trial is over. Ask your local visa agent if they can hook you up with one. -
Smokin’ scuffle: Foreigner’s taxi tantrum goes viral in Phuket
Ohyesuare replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Even if true, got to be a better way to resolve it than causing the driver to have an accident and climbing over him. Not sure why he is all smiles with the guy in the police station at the end. -
Thai doctor in Swiss expat case says she has ‘stress’
Ohyesuare replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I don't care if she's faking it or not, hope she milks that swiss loser and his dumb wife dry and he gets the boot from Thailand. I have no sympathy for him at all.- 228 replies

Yeah because all the recent stories of foreigners behaving badly and causing trouble in Thailand have been black right? 🙄

Overstay and new passport
Ohyesuare replied to Mui8899's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Sorry for your loss. Your home embassy doesn't have access to the Thai immigration database, nor could they refuse you a passport or entry to the country if you are a citizen. That doesn't mean that it's impossible somebody at the embassy won't tip off Thai immigration though. But either way, you are going to have to pay 20,000 to leave and you will be banned for a certain number of years but that doesn't seem like it will matter to you. As the poster above says, get a temp emergency passport issued by your embassy and leave ASAP. -
They are the sons of multi-millionaires and I have no doubts they are doing exactly what they have been told is in their best interest to do right now by the highest paid legal help money can buy. Your generalization of Thais has nothing to do with this topic either way. Humans in general will lie and refuse to take responsibility when being accused of a crime.

Thai cops probe groping incident by foreign men in Bangkok
Ohyesuare replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
It's in the article: "According to the Twitter user, one of the two foreigners grouped her friend’s bottom, prompting them to confront him and demand an apology. The Thai woman said the foreign man eventually apologised to her and her friend but both he and his friend continued to act playfully and giggle in front of her camera. After the man apologised, the Twitter user said she turned her back on the foreign perpetrators and was about to leave the scene but one of them touched her bottom. The woman could heard yelling at the men when the foreigner assaulted her." -

Actually she said her friend was groped first, she started filming and he said sorry to her friend while giggling about it and then when she turned around, she said the guy with him then groped her as well and she said what the <deleted> etc.. -
Thai cops probe groping incident by foreign men in Bangkok
Ohyesuare replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
I agree but idiots like these guys are not helping either. She did report it to the cops the next day but they won't/can't do anything unless they clearly can see them doing it on CCTV. There are guys, Thai and foreign, who get off on groping non bar ladies while there are thousands in the bars who will happily let them do it for the right price instead. -

From her Twitter: "I am one joint away from sending his name to my friend that like to make bad farang disappeared." Not defending what these pricks did but saying <deleted> like that doesn't help her case against them even though it's a laughably empty threat. -
Overstay or extension?
Ohyesuare replied to jimmybcool's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Any overstay gets you that red stamp usually. I'd get the extension just to avoid that even if there's only a miniscule chance that it could impact future visa applications. -
30 days visa extension - flight required?
Ohyesuare replied to sallecc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Never been asked for one. They will ask for an outbound flight if you are applying for the up to 7 day emergency extension people sometimes have to do after they have already done a 30 day extension. -
American Man Allegedly Sexually Assaults Pregnant Horse in Phuket
Ohyesuare replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
You can lead a horse to water but you can't sexually abuse it after. -
Debit card online fraud!
Ohyesuare replied to JoseThailand's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Have you installed any dodgy apps on your phone? When this was happening to a lot of people, I believe most banks disabled international transactions for debit cards by default until you specifically asked them to reenable it. I could no longer purchase a Netflix membership for example after they did it. -
If he's siphoning the majority of the profits for his lavish lifestyle, I'd be surprised if they are well taken care of. At most, probably the bare minimum to not be called abuse. And yes, it matters, it's misleading to tourists. Real sanctuaries don't rent their elephants to milk more money from people. They are a permanent home for elephants who had nowhere else to go and to live the rest of their lives in peace.

Thais own Thailand. If you can be thrown out on a whim as was your worry, you are a guest. Simple as that.

I highly doubt it but that would certainly make more sense why he is with her if she does. And it is 1 mil per month for a one year lease https://www.fazwaz.com/property-rent/5-bedroom-villa-for-rent-at-the-cape-residences-in-pa-khlok-phuket-u1704270

Well Thais can't deport a Thai and no doubt they are more lenient on their own citizens who almost always get their sentences halved when they admit to the crime. But again, just behave, follow the laws and never forget you will always be just a guest/tourist in the country and you have nothing to worry about.

Not married. Just most likely using that weathered looking hag for more legitimacy for his business and her connections. Call me shallow (I am) but if I could afford a million baht a month villa rental, my partner would certainly not look like her.

Not a smart thing to do here or anywhere really. Many unhinged people who will run you over or shoot you just for doing that. Is that satisfaction for flipping off a moron worth that not unlikely possibility? That's for you to decide.
-
Yes. Kicking and swearing at people for no reason in a country you are a guest in is not small stuff though. Just don't do anything wrong like 99% of the foreigners here and you have nothing to worry about.
