I test drove the Neta (1st generation) but I was rather underwhelmed. Unfortunately for Neta CM, their showroom is on Mahidol Road which is rather rough and bumpy and the Neta’s suspension is known to be rather soft. Also the steering wheel cannot be adjusted and the infotainment system doesn’t support Android Auto or CarPlay. One very good feature however is the V2L (vehicle to load). However some owners are very happy with their vehicle. I settled on the BYD Dolphin but it’s significantly more expensive. TOU stands for time of usage which means that there are on peak and off peak times whereby the unit price varies. https://www.pea.co.th/Portals/0/demand_response/ElectricityReconsiderNov61.pdf?ver=2019-01-25-100804-110 Check with your local PEA/MEA regarding installation and costs. There are some reports that PEA has stopped installing 2nd meters due to usage abuse. Whether you need a 2nd meter or not also depends on your current main meter.

Trump Condemns Kamala Harris’s Economic Proposals as ‘Full Communist’

I trust all the products you have are either American, European, Japanese or Korean made. It’s good seeing people put their money where their mouths are. Kudos. -
The Curtain Falls: Russia’s YouTube Ban and Its Impact on Society

You are merely confirming my point that Russia is isolated only from a few western countries, primarily US, UK and Europe. This loss of tourism revenue is another country’s gain. As for BRICS, it doesn’t matter whether China and India can stand each other or not. India is extremely envious of China but there is nothing they can do about it. Corruption, the caste system and a host of other factors will continue to hold India back economically. Nevertheless, it makes good economic sense for these countries to work together. BRICS is already more relevant than the G7 and will continue to grow in strength and numbers as the model is based on fairness and equality as opposed to hegemony. The USD will undoubtedly be around for many more years but the continued weaponisation will slowly but surely erode confidence in it. It also makes more sense for two countries to deal directly in its own currencies without the need to involve a 3rd currency. I don’t think BRICS has any intention of having its own currency either. A common currency among uncommon countries makes no sense. Look at how the value of the Euro has declined since its inception. As for whether anyone trusts China or India, neither of these countries have confiscated another countries assets, afaik. -
The Curtain Falls: Russia’s YouTube Ban and Its Impact on Society

There is so much misinformation and disinformation on social media nowadays that I can understand why governments are taking such actions. The EU threatened to shut down X if Musk aired his interview with Trump, the UK threatens jail for anyone retweeting any posts they deem unacceptable, the US wants to shut down TikTok because it’s parent company is Chinese, China banned FB or YT (can’t remember which. Maybe both even) because FB/YT refuses to comply with China’s conditions… However, this doesn’t mean removal of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech means you can express your opinions. It does not mean that you can spread disinformation or lies. If left unchecked, this can cause the destruction of the social fabric of society. Cases in point was when the New York Post first reported Trump’s shooter as a Chinese and some other channel reported the Southport stabbed as a refugee. Look what subsequently followed, especially in the UK. -
The Curtain Falls: Russia’s YouTube Ban and Its Impact on Society

A nation that has increasingly found itself isolated from the rest of the world, both culturally and politically. Why does western media keep claiming this ridiculous statement? Only some western countries have isolated themselves from Russia. Last time I checked, plenty of world leaders are visiting Russia and many are looking forward eagerly to the next BRICS summit In October. And what does isolated culturally even mean? -

Who cares? They build the best EVs in the world bar none. Having said that, the upcoming SEALION 6 PHEV seems like it will be a great success as well. -

How is the manufacturing process for an EV worse than for an ICEV? Genuine question. -

Your sister in law should have sought some advice from EV owners on this forum. If she frequently does long trips or just doesn’t like to wait whilst doing a long trip, EV owners on this forum would have discouraged her from purchasing an EV in the first instance. -
If you’re in CM, I would gladly take those units off you at no charge.

As a percentage of my posts, content free micro posts hardly register. In the case of that other poster, it’s about 99.8% (I thought I would be generous to deduct 0.1%). -

Thanks for this. So EV sales are down 12% while ICEV sales are down 25% for the same period. What this tells me is that: 1) auto sales are down (duh) 2) ICEV sales are down (as a percentage of cars sold) more than EVs 3) EVs are slowly but surely becoming more popular than ICEVs 4) it will take a while before EVs outsell ICEVs but the trend is there. It used to be that x number of people out of 100 would buy an EV but the figure now is a number greater than x. Assuming that this trend continues, the day will come whereby x will be equal to or greater than 50. 5) of course, even than, there will be more ICEVs otr (on the road) but as time goes on, the number of EVs otr will eventually overtake the number of ICEVs. In China, the number of pure EVs sold are getting very close to 50% of all sales. If I’m not mistaken, the number of EVs plus PHEVs already exceeds 50%. I look forward to the day that the foul smelling toxic fumes of a diesel engine are but a memory. -

This looks like an article from Australia. Rude staff… well, it’s Australia after all, isn’t it? This article also seems to reference a 2018 made vehicle. Mine is a 2022/2023 vehicle. Excellent build quality, up there with all the premium brands I have previously owned. Excellent service at every service centre I have been to in Thailand (4 different ones). Excellent fuel economy. I don’t think I spent even Thb 1,000 on petrol so far this year. The GPS is crap though. Fortunately I use Google maps via wireless Android Auto. -
I posted this a few days back. Since then, I’ve made another charge. It works great, even if you have to wait a bit.

It seems like you have very little idea of what you are talking about. Circumstances and situations in the US and UK are very different from in Thailand. For starters, the US doesn’t have Chinese made EVs (indisputably better than US and European made EVs) for sale. Thailand also doesn’t have freezing temperatures which will affect their range. In the UK, motorway services are miles apart, congregating scores of drivers in one services. In Thailand, the petrol stations are usually just a few kms apart and a lot of these have rapid charging units. There are also issues of taxation, leasing etc in the UK affecting EV purchases which doesn’t apply here in Thailand. If you want to prove a point, then tell us what percentage of EV owners in Thailand would switch back to an ICEV as their next purchase. I believe very, very few. -

I own a PHEV with an electric range of over 150 km. I have driven it a few times from Chiang Mai to KL with zero issues. During the Thai leg of the journey, about 70% of my drive is electric, in Malaysia, even more so. Extremely comfortable, smooth, quietly purring along the highways. Superbly made. I charge at home using solar and sometimes at night at TOU rates. For the whole of 2024, I probably spent less than Thb 1,000 baht on fuel up till now. And Thb 0 on servicing and maintenance. It’s one of my best motoring purchase ever. Shame though that the OP doesn’t like CH made cars. -

Can I trouble you for the same stats for ICEVs? How many were registered from 01 Feb - 31 July 2023 compared to the same period in 2024? Thanks. -

Bakhmut 2.0. Reel them in and pick them off at leisure. I see no strategic value in this incursion other than to try and capture the nuclear power plant to strengthen a weak negotiating position. A desperate, all in last ditch effort that has failed abjectly. -

NATO nations (including US) constitutes what, 14% of the world’s population? And who are you to decide what’s good for the Russians? It’s this typical interference in other nations affairs that’s making your nation increasingly isolated from the rest of the world. Open your eyes. The west is in decline.
