  1. Avoid buying anything Chinese made? Lol. I fear for your sanity and wellbeing. Your bitterness and hatred must be eating you from the inside, a bit at a time, everyday when you look around your abode. Given your stance and previous posts, I doubt very much you actually rented a MG recently. Surely you’re not making things up are you?
  2. This statement is particularly interesting Meanwhile, the United States plans to send astronauts back to the moon by 2026, marking the first human moon landing in more than 50 years. However, the U.S. efforts have faced numerous setbacks, particularly in the private sector. The planned launch of Boeing’s first astronaut flight was scrapped due to last-minute computer issues, Did they have better technology and know how 50 years ago? Or, like some believe, that it was a hoax?
  3. It’s been over 2 years. They’d better get a move on before they become a laughing stock, if they aren’t already.
  4. The fact is that Russia doesn’t want to occupy Ukraine. When you get such a simple fact wrong, the rest of your post is just nonsense.
  5. NATO’s already in, short of boots on the ground. Seems to me like their afraid of putting their money where their mouth is.
  6. So why do all these big and mighty countries seem so have their knickers in a twist?
  7. I’ve travelled both extensively and my impression is that the populace is happy with their lot. China in particular has been an eye opener. I lived and worked in HKG from 95-98 and remembered Shenzhen as a small fishing village. One would not recognise it today. One of the most futuristic cities in the world. One thing that some westerners don’t realise is that all this BS talk about democracy and freedom doesn’t matter to the average citizen. Mostly what they care about is having a good job and ability to live comfortably, something that the CPC has been able to offer those who are willing to work hard. I see videos on YT about the homeless, the fentanyl zombies, the state do some of the subway stations, the crime. If true, then it’s absolutely shocking that a government can allow society to degenerate to such a degree. In the UK, I lived in one of the home counties and the people were mostly affluent. The same can’t be said for London proper though. If this is what democracy looks like, no wonder they feel threatened by China’s model, even though the latter has no intention of exporting it anywhere.
  8. I heard Thailand is also planning to tax the expats staying here as well. Fortunately, I transferred enough in last year to last me for a number of years.
  9. Interesting comment. Can you kindly elaborate on how these two governments treat their populace? Ideally it should be based on personal observation and experience as opposed to western msm articles. Some of those can’t be believed you know.
  10. Russia to grow faster than all advanced economies says IMF https://www.bbc.com/news/business-68823399
  11. Reasons are simple. Putin is evil, he wants to re establish the old Soviet Union, he wants to conquer Ukraine, he wants to conquer all of Europe, he is afraid of losing the election so he initiates a war… People do believe the most amazing things. It’s a wonder there are still bridges left unsold lol.
  12. To add to that, it’s really not just Ukraine that’s fighting Russia. If not for the billions of dollars of ammo, weapons and possibly soldiers as well, this conflict would have been over long, long ago. But alas, some people are so wrapped up in their illogical hatred that they have lost their ability to view and analyse reality.
  13. So all this talk about Moldova/Kazakhstan/Poland/Baltic chihuahuas next after Ukraine is pure nonsense, right? Just western propaganda to keep the grift going which some gullible people on here swallow, hook, line and sinker.
  14. Russia has wisely, decided not to launch a full scale invasion of Ukraine. Firstly, Russia has no intention of conquering Ukraine. If it did, it would have to launch a full scale invasion and it is apparently well known in military doctrine that such a move would result in something like a 3:1 casualty rate. Instead, Russia’s intention was to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and to de-militarise the Ukrainian army that had been trained, supplied and supported by NATO for years. In order to achieve this, Russia has decided on a war of attrition which by all accounts, seems to be working out as planned. It’s been 2+years like you said and during this time, Russia’s economy has been growing at an incredible rate compared to that of the EU and even the US. I don’t think I’ve ever come across an article that claims that Ukraine is winning or that it is likely to win. If you have any, links to such a claim, feel free to share. Russia is able to continue such a strategy indefinitely. I doubt the collective west can. Your wife’s opinion on anything is of no interest to me whatsoever so I stopped reading your post at that point.
  15. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that. I would like to return your compliment by saying that you are at least willing to consider both sides of the coin when it comes to the Russian Ukraine conflict. Sadly, you are pretty much alone in the “other” camp. I believe that we have had one or two exchanges where we dealt with facts and reality and while we may have agreed to disagree, we have kept it civil. I’m guessing that you have taken exception to my comment about Caucasians. If so, then I apologise to you and you alone as you have shown yourself to be genuinely interested in a serious discourse of current matters.
  16. Seems like Ukraine didn’t get the memo as they struck Crimea instead. https://www.newsweek.com/crimea-photos-ukraine-atacms-kerch-ferry-1906708 Things are getting interesting. The west is calling Russia’s bluff, let’s see how Russia reacts over the coming days. I’m expecting escalation, including use of some tactical nukes. Western politicians don’t seem to understand or refuse to accept that Russia views this as an existential threat so they have nothing to lose. The wild card in all this is actually not China but North Korea. The Korean civil war is actually still ongoing, it’s just a frozen conflict. The longer it drags on, the weaker NK will become so I expect they will seize on any opportunity to resume the conflict when Sauron’s attention is directed elsewhere. Vladimir ‘Strider’ Putin will lead the charge against Mordor while Xi ‘Gandalf’ Jin Ping will be strategising in the background. Volodymyr ‘the Mouth’ Zelensky will be decapitated his goblins will flee into the abyss. The “Irohanians” will ride to victory once again in the Sands of Sinai…
  17. As everyone knows, NATO stands for No Action, Talk Only. If they felt they could have won a ground war against Russia, they would have probably gone in with all guns blazing. Since they can’t win the real war, they try to win the war of narrative. Judging from what we can see on this forum, it appears that they are very successful with some. Fortunately, the rest of the world is not as gullible.
  18. Ah, Johnnie boy. If I’m not mistaken, my first ever tennis racket was a John McEnroe max or something like that, wooden frame. I fitted cat gut strings to it. I have no idea how SEA would be impacted if Russia and the US started firing nuclear bombs at each other. I guess it depends a lot on how many bombs as well. If 1 bomb hits Moscow and one bomb hits DC, then I guess the impact on us here in Thailand would be minimal. China has a no first use policy so I reckon we are pretty safe. No big loss if the majority of Caucasians get wiped off the map. I’m sure some Japanese would even celebrate. Karma, I think they call it.
  19. Looks like you have too much time on your hands, lol. When do you plan to stop digging?
  20. I wouldn’t know since I don’t follow either, other than CGTN on YT. It’s really nice and decent of these European countries to help out their fellow humans. I notice the US is not in your list. Speaks volumes.
