  1. When you have nothing, go off topic…
  2. Final Fantasy and the Hope strategy rolled into one lol.
  3. What are these unacceptable preconditions? I saw an interview in which Arestovych, a one time aide to Zelensky said they popped champagne to celebrate the successful negotiations which was subsequently scuppered by Boris Johnson.
  4. I watched some videos of young Ukrainian men being forcefully beaten up and manhandled into trucks. Presumably these men are going to be sent to the frontlines and will probably die there. Quite tragic honestly.
  5. Guess you’ve never heard of two sides to a coin or that a glass can be both half empty and half full at the same time.
  6. Putin has offered to resume gas supplies to Germany via its one remaining and undestroyed pipeline but of course it is not allowed to do so, so it seems that VW has no choice but to close at least one of its plants.
  7. I guess my none too subtle grammar lesson flew over your head. Never mind. it seems to me that your facts are derived from only one side of the narrative, Russia bad, west good. Nothing wrong with that if you’re not interested in seeing the whole picture. The Ukrainian commander in chief, I believe, blatantly lied when he said that Russia has not advanced one metre in 6 days. You accepted his statement as fact as that’s what you want to believe but when you look at liveuamap.com (a pro-Ukrainian website I might add) and put in the relevant parameters, you can see for yourself the progress the Russian army made towards Pokrovsk over the days in question. It is completely understandable that Syrsky would not tell the truth as this would be admitting the failure of the Kursk operation and hasten his promotion as Ambassador to the UK.
  8. Russia overtook the United States in the month of May as the lead supplier of liquified natural gas (LNG) to Europe for the first time in nearly two years, the Financial Times reported on June 16. According to the International Commodity Intelligence Service (ICIS), Russian-piped gas LNG shipments made up 15 per cent of supply delivered to the EU, UK, Switzerland, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, FT reported. While U.S. LNG supplies made up just 14 per cent of the supply. Another example of EU determination lol.
  9. You’re biased, understandably so. Your links only ever has one narrative.
  10. I’ve told him to donate it to the Palestinians to fight the genocidal Israeli government.
  11. Just pointing out that even western propaganda cannot hide the truth forever.
  12. Ah, yes. That much mistaken often quoted non statement by Putin when it was in fact a view expressed by Milley. I’m not a military person but even I know that it would be impossible to take over a country the size of Ukraine with just a coupe of hundred thousand troops. And yet, western misinformation is so powerful that even supposedly intelligent people swallow it. One of Putin’s stated objectives is the de-militarisation of Ukraine. What better way then to destroy its army and weapons, one by one, piece by piece. As another poster confirmed in an above post, the UAF now consists of soldiers of different nationalities, highlighting the lack of Ukrainians able and willing to fight. It is also solely dependent on weapons and ammunition supplied by other countries, not having the capability of producing its own. In the meantime, the Russian economy continues to grow much faster than any G7 country, spurred on in part by increased military production and increased sales of natural gas to Europe. Putin probably can’t believe his luck that western leaders are so bereft of intelligence and so impotent.
  13. Seems to me that the Ukrainian leadership and its advisors are none too smart. Everyone knows that the best way to peace is via negotiations but the Ukrainians passed a law banning peace talks with one of the most powerful men in the world and the major protagonist in this conflict thus effectively ensuring the destruction of the country. Retracting this law would be a major slap in the face for Ukraine, a major embarrassment and a desperate sign of weakness so they are well and truly up the creek without a paddle. The Kursk PR stunt that had no strategic value has backfired completely and served only to hasten Russian advances along the main battlefront in the Donbass region. A main government reshuffle in the middle of an ongoing conflict merely points to more and more desperation. Ukkraine is likely to cease to exist, thanks to the machinations of the west. Losing Crimea in 2014 due to a western directed coup, all for the sake of some cookies, they had a chance to keep most of their territory until Bojo came along and caused them to lose the 4 eastern oblasts. They had another chance to still keep most of their territory (excepting these 4 oblasts) but it’s looking more likely that Odessa, Sumy will eventually be lost as well. Kissinger’s words ring true once again.
  14. As time goes on, Russia (and Putin) seems to be gaining more popularity around the world. Lots of countries wanting to join BRICS, an alliance in which Russia is one of the founding members. He was also welcomed with open arms and much pomp and ceremony to a country which is a party to the Rome statute that was obliged to arrest him. Unlike a certain country in the west that’s selling and sending weapons and munitions to another country that’s committing genocide, Russia is producing munitions primarily for its own use. I don’t see much evidence of countries like Russia and China meddling in other countries’ elections other than in the minds and imagination of western intelligence agencies. On the other hand, countless videos abound of western (presumably American) operatives coordinating the recent violent riots in Hong Kong in a bid to cause instability, something thy have been doing around the world for decades. It’s a good thing that the global majority has finally woken up to the evil machinations of some western countries and are now pushing back. The recently concluded successful FOCAC is another example of how world power is shifting towards multipolarity.
  15. I charged yesterday from 9% to full (no one was waiting) and it took about 1 hr 10 mins or so. The last 5% takes about 10 mins so I normally stop before that but I wanted to balance the batteries as well and no one was waiting. During peak hours, CM only has 2 chargers available but this number goes up to 8 off peak (after 10 pm and weekends) so that’s when I charge.
  16. I don’t consider any one source more credible than the other, most western msm nowadays is nothing more than western mouthpieces, just repeating western propaganda. Anyone relying on it for so called facts are either just gullible, ignorant or both. The fact that even CNN is reporting negative news shows how bad the real situation is for Ukraine. If CNN reports 19,000 defections, the real figure is probably twice that, imo. The orcs are winning, no doubt about that in my mind. They have a real strategy, not one based on hope and fantasy.
  17. Just pointing out the lies of Ukrainian officials (and delusions of some posters).
  18. The U.S. and its allies must go on the offensive, conducting their own information operations to undermine Putin’s regime both within Russia and abroad. These operations should not aim to promote the American Dream but rather focus on messages that will resonate with targeted audiences, such as ethnic minorities in Russia who face systemic repression and have suffered disproportionately in Putin’s war on Ukraine. Additionally, the West should challenge Moscow’s influence in the Global South, where Russian propaganda often enjoys more popularity than Western media. That’s right America. You must pick up your game if you want to effect regime change in countries like Russia and China and anywhere else. Maybe open some NGO’s and call it something like International Endowment for Democratic Reform or AmericanAid and fund dissidents in selected countries that wish to overthrow the government. Oh, wait…
  19. Pokrovsk has become the epicenter of the fight for Ukraine’s east. Russian forces have been inching towards the city for months, but their advances have sped up in recent weeks as Ukrainian defenses begin to crumble. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/08/europe/ukraine-military-morale-desertion-intl-cmd/index.html
  20. Yeah, right. As the battlefield situation deteriorated, an increasing number of troops started to give up. In just the first four months of 2024, prosecutors launched criminal proceedings against almost 19,000 soldiers who either abandoned their posts or deserted, according to the Ukrainian parliament. It’s a staggering and – most likely – incomplete number. Several commanders told CNN that many officers would not report desertion and unauthorized absences, hoping instead to convince troops to return voluntarily, without facing punishment. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/08/europe/ukraine-military-morale-desertion-intl-cmd/index.html
  21. Is this a calculated assessment or chapter 3 of the hope strategy?
  22. PTT/Bangchak pff peak is Thb 5.20 per kWh. TOU at home would be about Thb 3 per kWh. However you look at it, it’s a darn sight cheaper than petrol. And yet, some still thinks an ICEV is a better option lol.
  23. Of the 3 superpowers, it’s probably best that China has the best missiles. As far as I know, China hasn’t dropped a bomb or fired a missile at another country in the last 50 years.
  24. Depends on whether you are American, Russian or Chinese.
