Condo wants tax details for EV charger ?!
Gweiloman replied to DonniePeverley's topic in General Topics
Just go to your condo management and ask them to get the app working for you. Tell them you’re not a taxpayer. I have charged with 4 different CPO’s, PTT, PEA, Elexa and Reversharger. Not one of them required any tax information from me, since I don’t have any. -
HEV’s are so… yesterday’s technology. A minuscule 1-2 kWh battery that does practically nothing. If you’re going to buy a HEV, might as well stick with Japanese legacy auto makers, although at the rate their service centres, at least here in CM, are closing and being replaced by Chinese automakers, they might be getting more scarce in and around Surin too.

Unless one lives in an apartment/condo or drives long distances frequently (and needs to get there in a hurry), it’s a no brainer to buy an EV or at least seriously consider it. The advantages are just overwhelming. In the recent earthquake, electricity to my Mooban was disrupted. No problem, I continued watching the TV with the fan running, powered by my Dolphin until normal supply was resumed. Boy, were my neighbours envious lol.

The topic is Russia’s economy… Exactly. Some posters try to imply that Russia’s economy is doomed because its GDP is not in the top 10. Seems like you are clueless about insinuations.

I guess as non-economists, some people don’t realise that GDP is a very poor metric to indicate the health of a country’s economy. For example, if China were to privatise its healthcare, public utilities such as water, electricity etc, its GDP could well exceed the US’s In nominal terms. As it is, it’s already higher in PPP terms. Many, real, experts are saying that there is a 50:50 chance that the US might undergo a recession in the coming year. As it is, many Americans are struggling to even buy groceries, having to opt for BNPL schemes. A fat lot of good a high GDP is doing for them. Meanwhile in Thailand, I see red plated cars on the road everyday, restaurants are full of patrons and most Thais that I know are having a nice living. Thailand’s GDP isn’t in the top 10 either…

Nightmare in Kursk: Ukrainian Troops Recount Devastating Retreat
Gweiloman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Fact: EU GDP is $20 trillion. BRICS GDP is $26 trillion. But this is a senseless point. Neither the EU nor BRICS are countries. Fact: Russia is winning, Ukraine (the collective west) is losing. Get over it. -
Nightmare in Kursk: Ukrainian Troops Recount Devastating Retreat
Gweiloman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The real question should be, was the war worth it for the west? As confirmed by top US officials, this was a proxy war aimed at weakening Russia. Quite the reverse has happened. The much vaunted western arms have been shown up to be much less effective than advertised. All the wonder weapons have proven ineffective against Chinese made shovels. Europe’s economy is in the doldrums, energy prices are at record highs. Germany is de-industrialising, major manufacturers are setting up in other countries. Sanctions have been proven as useless in a multi-polar world. China is learning valuable lessons from this conflict. All this talk about Russia’s economy collapsing and being an international pariah is just bs and western propaganda. Russia may be shut out from the western banking system but there are lots of alternatives and workarounds. GDP, although an imperfect measure, is higher than the G7 countries. Yes, life’s a bitch, especially when you side with the losing team. -
And yet, the whole of Europe from west to east are living in fear of being attacked by this gas station with Chinese made shovels and imported Asian soldiers 😂

Russia is not as economically significant as other superpowers like China and the US but to claim that it is culturally insignificant shows your ignorance. I’m guessing that you come from a country with less than 300 years of history and your biggest cultural export is that of the “ugly tourist”. That and interference.

And yet, presumably, you live in Thailand. Lost everything to a Thai bargirl and can’t afford the airfare? I hear there’s something called “Go Fund Me”. Or Thai partner refused visa to the US? That could explain a few things… -

What genocide? Oh, you mean that made up American propaganda. I didn’t realise that educated people in this day and age still bought into that bs. Maybe it’s only the uneducated ones that still do. -

Given your obvious hatred of Thailand, I hope, for your sake, that you’re not living here lol. -
Thai PM Responds to US Visa Ban Uncertainty Amid Uyghur Deportation
Gweiloman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wish the US would put me on their ban list. I wouldn’t visit even if you paid me. Mass shootings every day, filthy streets and even filthier subways and crumbling infrastructure. America still thinks it can tell everyone what to do. They are in for a rude awakening very soon. -
Trump: "Spare the lives of surrounded Ukrainian troops in Kursk"

I have no doubt that Trump lies pretty much every time he opens his mouth. He’s an American president after all.
